Awesome!
Came quickly, and he even sent a bonus little one with a handwritten note! So neat, it made my whole day. I bought it for a gift to my super mama, and she absolutely loved them! Now I want one too... :}

Golden Service for Golden Means Calipers
The craftsmanship and function of the Calipers is excellent. I received the piece in a very short period of time from ordering and to my surprise, it was enclosed in a custom made holder.

My most anticipated art tool of the century is already my favourite!
Arrived right on time today after much anticipation and immediately proved their worth. Thanks Nick! I really like the slender and deceptively simple case I got with mine; makes me think of old stories of people picking up a rock or branch of a tree on a stroll somewhere and being shocked to find an ancient, gleaming treasure within. I love the wood and the fact that it's so slender and tough I could easily carry it where-ever I go or store it anywhere. The calipers themselves are eye-catching works of art that also make me think of ancient times. I wouldn't be surprised if the ancient Egyptians had calipers that looked just like these. As soon as my flatmate got home he noticed them. I'm a photographer so it wasn't long before I was using the calipers to find golden section coincidences (as geometrical concurrences are properly called) in my favourite photographer's work. Wow!...The very first Cartier-Bresson image I tried with the calipers proved their usefulness and H.C.B.s geometric genius! And I just kept finding them! Already having a lot of fun. The medium sized option is perfect for analysing images in most photo books or on a small screen. I'll definitely be getting some more of these for myself and as gifts. They'd make an excellent present for someone who can appreciate them.

A beautifully made essential tool for artists and designers.
As a beautifully made instrument, the calipers function perfectly in determining the proportions of the Golden Section. They canbe spread over drawings, designs and architectural blue prints or held up at eye level whilst objects are viewed between thedividers. This simple instrument reveals the significance of the Golden Mean across a vast range of the natural world and links us tothe mind-set of the ancient Greeks.

BEWARE CUSTOMS CHARGES
Great calipers but I had to pay Β£15 customs charges. Not happy as this should be advised before purchase.

Amazing item
Received mine one in London from from New Zealand very quickly. Wooden box, well crafted, very posh style, what a decent tool to have. Thanks for producing such a item with high standards.

Beautiful, well made, fun, but not that useful for serious measurements.
By all accounts this is a beautiful tool, which (inconsequentially) comes in a beautiful box. However this is not a tool for a serious geometer: if you want to check whether a proportion roughly conforms to the golden mean, these calipers are handy. But if you want mark out the golden mean for yourself they are nowhere near accurate enough - you are still better of with a ruler and compass.
