Matouk's West Indian Hot Sauce - 10oz

Taste GREAT. Not for the faint of heart...It is hot!! Unlike a lot of "hot" sauces that are just hot, this is packed with flavor. Love it!

This stuff is HOT! I ordered this after having it in BVI and being unable to find anything comparable here. Papaya and Scotch Bonnet peppers meld seamlessly. The initial taste is mildly sweet, then LOOK OUT!A small amount mixed into curries or rice dishes adds a pleasant heat, or use it like we do and throw it in everything. I bought the straight red pepper as well and now everyone knows that dinner is going to be hot at our house.I tried to photograph the ingredients so you can check for allergies. If nothing stands in your way, get some!

I first had Matouk's hotsauce in the Bahama's around 1990 at Skinny's restaurant on fritters. We used so much of it that Skinny had to send a waitress out across town to get more and then insisted that he got to put it on (to excess) when she got back. I remember it being hotter, but it isn't just about the heat - the flavor is also really great.

I discovered this sauce in the Dutch Antilles and was surprised I could buy it on amazon but this is the best value option. Many people sell it on amazon but this seller is giving a fair deal. The sauce came very well packaged and in proper condition for immediate use, which I did and was so happy to have at home.

not my favorite but ok

I grew up in Jamaica and we lived by this stuff. This is a great hot sauce that has FLAVOR, and not just heat. Yes, it is hot, but it is packed with great "scotch bonnet" (what is called habanero here) flavor. Highly recommended.

This is a hot sauce that is a bit different from others I have tried. One difference is its first two ingredients (Papaya and Aged Pickled Scotch Bonnet Peppers). Because of the Scotch Bonnet peppers, it is fairly hot and the papaya gives it an interesting taste. This sauce has been a good accompaniment to hamburgers, chicken and pork.
