I used this in a heavily populated deer area on my young fruit trees. I was surprised how well it worked, even after several weeks. It even worked after a rain. Feeling a little too confident, I failed to reapply soon enough (more than a month later) and the deer found my trees. I bought another bottle and will continue to use it.

This has been the first year we've used this product, and it appears to be very effective so far. My only suggestion would be to have a more variable spray nozzle. The full "spray" setting distributes the liquid too widely and sparsly, making it difficult to cover the flowers you're interested in protecting. The "stream" setting is great for reaching a few feet back to flowers at the rear of the garden, but it's much too concentrated for the nearby growth. Something in between would be a great addition to its effectiveness.

Thankfully the bottle arrived wrapped in plastic so I thought the leaky issue was averted... wrong. I shook the bottle prior to application and it streamed out of the bottle around the plastic collar for the sprayer. It was impossible to tighten enough to keep this from happening. First thoughts... smells herbal and the deer around here love herbs so not sure what this is going to deter. Sprayed a perimeter around some tomatoes, or tried to. Three pumps on the nozzle and it clogged. I opened it to look at the problem and found a good 1/3rd of the bottle was a stringy cottage cheesish mash that was definitely not going through a sprayer. Just poured the bottle around the flower bed and writing this lesson off as a $10 learning experience. Also the deer were back munching before it had ever dried. A complete failure on all levels as a product.

This spray is stinky and that's what keeps the deer from eating all my flowers and shrubs. The directions say it lasts for 30 days, but I spray every 2 weeks, because we have irrigation. I am on my 2nd bottle. I use it in combination with bird netting . The deer do take bites here and there, but do not demolish the entire shrub anymore. I will definitely continue to purchase! Good price and quick shipping!

Overall, this does help keep the deer away. But I find I must do it more than once a week. Or the deer, we'll still eat my plants. Frequent application is required.

I’ve used deer stopper in nj and fl and it seems to protect well in both states. Smell is MUCH more pleasant than any of the alternative products I’ve tried. The spray bottle is terrible - trigger is loose and the whole assembly spins too easily to use with one hand. I might try using a windex sprayer when I have an empty windex bottle.
