McDougal Littell Pre-Algebra: Student Edition 2005

The schools do not provide textbooks to their students anymore which makes it incredibly difficult to attempt to help a child do their homework when there is NO examples or explanations. I ordered/rented this book so that I could help my 8th grader with his pre-algebra. It has been a minute since I have sat in a classroom!!The book is great. It has examples and practice problems. It transitions easily between chapters. It helps this momma who is NOT a math person to help my kid do his work. I grew up with McDougal textbooks so I know that they are good ones.I purchased the book used. It was not a ridiculous price. I did not want to purchase new since we won't use the book again when he is done with it. I appreciate used books - I DO wish that the option of renting was for this book. I would rather rent and return than to purchase and have another book sit on the bookshelf.

This is the math book my son uses in public school. The ones they have are in terrible condition and so heavy to lug home. I looked on here and sure enough, for $10 he can have his own copy at home. No need to carry it back and forth and at the end of the year we can donate it to the school.

Used book. Condition is just ok. The topics covered are quite standard but the problems are too easy. The worked examples deal with even simpler problems, mostly straight forward substitution. This book is boring for accelerated math students.

Awesome textbook for homeschooling. It is extremely helpful to use the Note Taking Guide and Practice Workbook along with this text book. It is well worth the money for your child's education.

Use this book all the time as a tutor. Cold have more fractions and positive and negative operations in it though.

Helpful for my tutoring/teaching needs. Really like the McDougal Larson textbooks in general!

Great reference book to supplement your math reading with lots of helpful tips and explanations. However, there are no answers to the practice questions.
