I've been eyeing a steam pan insert as a compost bin for a long time but unless you have access to a restaurant supply store it gets very expensive. here the price is right. This ones are not the thickest material but they do the job nicely, are plenty large for our family of 6 and keep the odors at bay.I love that there are 2 so I can have one to use while one is in the dishwasher. Doesn't stain like the plastic ones and no filters to deal with.Now i wish I could find a wooden box to put around like mentioned in the description. A link would be great!

I’ve been using this compost bin for about a month now. I am VERY pleased! It’s big enough to hold quite a bit, while taking up much less space than the Tupperware I had been using. It’s easy to just rinse out the extra bits. (Though most of it just slides right out when I empty it). I don’t see needing to replace it every few years like I have had to with my past ones. I would highly recommend!

We use this for kitchen scraps to add to our compost. It does a good job of keeping the smell in and is easily cleaned in the dishwasher. Love it.

These bins are shiny & being stainless steel should be easy to clean. I stack them one atop the other & then one is always available when the top one gets full. I store them below the sink & it keeps everything neat & tidy & my limited counter space available. Thank you for a genuinely useful product & prompt delivery during the end of the holiday season.

We bought a set of two. Love them so much! We use one as a composed bin. And use another one to keep coffee tools. It's just perfect!

When I arrived the wooden box was coming apart at the corners, and I had to tap them back together with a mallet

The wooden container fell apart within minutes of unboxing it. The glue failed. It has tiny nails that are only a few millimeters long. They weren't long enough to actually keep it together. The metal lid was bent. It is a big disappointment.
