A fun surprise inside each ornament for sensory play!
My kids love playfoam and they also love toys with surprises inside so I knew they would love these ornaments! I was hoping to use as stocking stuffers but they found it and couldn’t wait to find out what surprises were inside! I love that these ornaments come with stickers so they can decorate as well. They get occupied for a while with play foam and the little pals that came with it! It is a great sensory play and open ended toy so I love seeing them use their creativity skills! Such a fun holiday activity to do with the kids!

My 3 year old loves them
The set of four ornaments is a fun and unique way to decorate your Christmas tree or add some festive cheer to your home. Each ornament comes with a surprise Playfoam Pal inside, which makes the experience even more exciting for kids. The Playfoam Pals are cute and colorful creatures that are fun to play with and provide a satisfying sensory experience. Kids can squish and shape the Playfoam to create different textures and shapes. The ornaments themselves are made of durable materials and are designed to last for many holiday seasons to come. They are also lightweight and easy to hang on the tree or other decorative branches. Overall, the Educational Insights Playfoam Pals Holiday Ornaments are an excellent gift for kids who love sensory play and fidget toys. Kids will love squishing and shaping the Playfoam, and parents will appreciate the non-toxic and mess-free nature of the toy.

Tiny styrofoam balls held together by ‘spider webs’
I have never purchased playfoam for my grandkids before. I thought this would be a fun idea to use when we were setting up the Christmas tree. The balls are a sturdy plastic. They pull apart easily after you remove the plastic wrapping. There’s no easy to pull tabs so I did need to use a knife to cut off the plastic. The balls are really full! They are definitely thoughtful in the amount of playfoam you get in each ornament. There are four colors which are blue, green, purple, and pink. Inside the playfoam there is a little baggie with a toy inside. The baggie is easy to rip open and it reveals the toy. The baggie just keeps the little toy from getting playfoam all over it. Although really as soon as my grandkids got the toy out they played with it in the playfoam anyway. There is also a little sticker sheet and each one that has the various critters and playfoam pictures.I like that it never dries out. It has an interesting consistency. It feels like little Styrofoam balls and some stickiness. The stickiness sounds sticky and holds the Styrofoam balls together. However it doesn’t actually stick to your hands or the toys. I do like that it’s less messy than slime. One of mygrandsons said it looked like spiderwebs were holding it together. I thought that was a good way to describe it because it really does. It doesn’t have any odor and it’s very light and easy to form. It also can get quite compact and it’s easy to make forms or things like balls. The balls are like ornaments so they could be hung on a tree, used for an advent surprise or even for Christmas. They kept their attention for a little while. It wasn’t as engaging as I guess I had hoped it would be. But the fact that it never dries out and can be returned to later is definitely a perk. It does have a fun consistency I will say. So for those whole enjoy tactile putty, slime, play doh this could be a nice addition to that repertoire.

Adorable and functional as well
I remember getting a Playfoam Pals set for my daughter when she was 4 or 5. These are exactly like we remembered, and now that she’s 8 she can share in some of the nostalgia effect. There are 4 ornaments filled with the playfoam that have a surprise toy inside. We haven’t set up our tree yet, so I let my 8 and 3 year old each take 2 to play with. The foam is soft and sticky, without being messy. It’s a much better sensory experience than kinetic sand or slime, but that’s just my opinion. Plus it’s easier to clean up as well. The surprise toy animals are adorable. There was a few, like Wolfgang and Reggie, that I was hoping for because they were so unique, but sadly we didn’t get them. My 3 year old has taken all of them as bath toys now. The 8 year old put the foam back in to the ornament ball and is saving them to put on the tree when we set it up this week. These could be great as fun treats to his on your Christmas tree and break out for a little fun.

Cute
I caught these on sale when they were B2G1 at a cheap price and they worked out to only being $2-ish dollars per ornament. After seeing them, I would never purchase them at the full price for what they are. I would not purchase them for my kids again because my kids seemed slightly underwhelmed with them. The playfoam is fun to play with-- My kids liked that part most, especially my 6 year old who loves sensory things. It is like tiny styrofoam balls held together by something sticky and it was fun to mound up around the toys to "trap" them in an avalanche.I had expected the toys inside to be similar to Beaker Creatures, solid little plastic critters, but several of them (like the moose) you had to assemble by putting the head on the body. The three moose we got kept losing their heads which meant the trash for the body once the head went missing. My three year old girl enjoyed sticking the stickers all over everyone's ornaments, but my boys (6 and 9) did not. Not all of the stickers wanted to follow the curved surface of the ball and peeled back up fairly easily. We intend to use the balls for another craft closer to Christmas.

Much better than slime
These are great stocking suffers. Out girls love all things fidget these days. They also like slime but tends to be very messy to clean up even when they are being careful. This play foam is similar and there's not mess.

My 10 year old loves these
I can't decide if I will spit the 4 pack up among family kids, or put one in a stocking and decorate the tree with the remaining 3 for an extra surprise Xmas morning. I do know my 10 year old loves thee, and the special prize inside all served up in an ornament is just perfect. The actual foam can be used over and over. It is much better than the dollar store version - I've tried and that is a sticky mess. This brand is the real deal.
