Scream Queens: The Complete First Season

Season 1 of "Scream Queens" is a work of art in masterful satire, using the slasher/horror genre as a framework.What makes it brilliant?The writing.The premise.The acting.The cast.The rapid-fire dialogue.The unpredictable story arc.The special effects.The entire series works as a whole to poke fun at how ridiculous our U.S. society has become with its trendy trends and the notion that being respectful to others is a musty, antiquated approach to socializing. The show drops all pretense of political correctness by hitting you in the face with its blatant disregard for "sensitive" subjects.My condolences to the young actress who plays the Chanel character that never takes off her earmuffs. The earmuffs are a send-up of the hair buns that Princess Leia wore in "Star Wars." Why would the character wear earmuffs that resemble Princess Leia's hair buns? The young actress is the late Carrie Fisher's daughter in real life.Hopefully, sales of the series on DVD will prompt a Blu-ray release, which shouldn't be difficult because the TV show is shot and broadcast in HD.The reception of Series One spawned a surprising Season Two, which moves the story out of the halls of college to the poorly lit hallways of a hospital. Dean Munsch (a radiant Jamie Lee Curtis) decides to call herself a doctor and opens a hospital that promises to cure the incurable. Beyond silly, right? Even sillier is that "Doctor" Munsch seeks out and enlists the surviving Chanels from Season One to work at the hospital. It's absurd theater, but it works. The serial killing Red Devil from Season One is replaced by an equally murderous Green Meanie.The addition of John Stamos (whose good looks are constantly lampooned), Kirsty Ally (in a role she obviously is having a blast playing), and the dark-haired young man who starred in the "Twilight" films, all add an extra bit of fresh air to the show.Watch Season One, then watch Season Two (which is not available on DVD yet, but can be watched on Amazon Video).I would say the show should be rated R for bloody violence and sexually graphic language. It's for adults. Especially for Millennials between the ages of 24 and 30. The show lampoons the Millennial mentality, attitudes, and conceptions of what's "normal."

Thank you US version because you are the only version with French subtitles. The DVD won't release in France, and the UK version has only English.Season 2 is only available on Amazon Japan, audio English / Japanese, subtitles English / Japanese for those who care about the season 2 on DVD.Great show, super well written, great acting, we absolutly need a third and final season, please.Ok, Chad Radwell is out, but we already saw him as Daenerys Ghost, we know he can have his final too. Ditto for Denise Hemphill, Chanel, Chanel#3, Chanel#5, Hester and Dean Munch.From season 1, we already have the basis for 3 new Red Devils : Feather McCarthy who wants revenge on Dean Munch, Dorkus who wants revenge on Hester and Grace who wants revenge on all of the group. These 3 ones + your great ideas will give us the real final of the show, pleeeaaase. We need a season 3, a final season for these great characters.

I honestly do not understand why so many people disliked this show or why it was cancelled after only 2 seasons. Is this show stupid? Yes. Are the characters shallow and vapid? Yes. But it's a damn comedy people! I love all kinds of comedy; witty, subtle, clever, outrageous, vulgar, sarcastic, satire, dark, nonsensical, etc. My tastes vary. When I discovered this show a few months ago, I thought it was the funniest thing I've seen in awhile. I immediately purchased the dvd set. All of the characters are hilarious! (Jamie Lee Curtis and Niecy Nash really steal the show sometimes and Emma Roberts just does everything right with her character.) I highly recommend this show to anyone who likes style and doesn't take their humor too seriously.As for the product itself, the box and DVDs were in perfect condition. Very satisfied!

If you truly love B-horror flicks, you'll likely enjoy this show. It has many references to a lot of classics and is constantly poking fun at the genre in a playful way. It's a show I would gladly binge once a year.The only downside to the show is that it sometimes goes so over the top you legitimately want a character to die off because they get too cartoonish or annoying.One complaint might be that it's pretty obvious who the Red Devil is, but if you think about it, that is itself a joke, as it's rarely ever a surprise where a movie throws a legitimate twist that takes you by surprise.

This movie series is hilarious. I loved the Chanels. The director pulls you in with the music and scenery. Scream Queens probably has the best casting and the writing is hilarious. You find yourself laughing even when you shouldn't. I bought this because I had to watch it again. Can't wait to buy the second season. I grew up watching Jaimie Lee Curtis in the Halloween films and Prom Night. She is perfect as the Dean.

I loved Scream Queens! The show kept me entertained from beginning to end. The cast was amazing and did great on this show. Totally not what I was expecting but better than I imagined.

Serie que no es tal cómo de terror sino más bien tirando a sátira y la paradoia, es entretenida hasta los últimos dos capítulos que es donde cae en aburrida y desmerecedora, los dos últimos capítulos es de lo peor aún así vale la pena el resto de ella. Audio en ingles no trae doblaje español. Subtítulos en español.
