This is a short book, but the most impressive in actual content save for maybe Collin Wilson's The Occult. Unlike this much more meaty book though, this short book has amazing historical and content relative to the title that will give you what any other astral projection based book I have ever encountered leaves out. Highly recommended!

Traveller's Guide to the Astral Plane
An easy and quick read. Not heavy with details, but some interesting examples from "Travelers".

An old dated, and the worst book I ever read on astral travel.
Even though I am well into my senior years, my curiosity has never ceased. My interests have taken me scientifically from the seemingly endless reaches of the cosmos to the esoteric realms of the mysteries of consciousness and the afterlife. Over the last 7 plus decades I have read numerous books on astral travel, but while browsing on Amazon I came across this old and dated 112 page soft cover book that was first published in 1983 (The traveler’s guide to the astral plane: The secret realms beyond the body and how to reach them by Steve Richards) and even though it is an old overpriced soft cover book I decided to purchase it.I really looked forward to reading this book but found it to be an uninteresting, boring and tedious read. In fact, out of all the books I have read over the years on this subject, this is the absolute worst book on the subject of astral travel. The author explores topics such as suspended animation, are the experiences real? Swedenborg, astral sex, the Kama Loca, the world of boundless light, descent into hell and how to get there. There are also 3 appendix sections and references. The font was very also small, making it a difficult read. Even with my classes on it was a very challenging read.If you are interested in the astral realm and related topics this is not a book you will want to consider purchasing. In fact, you will not learn very much about astral travel reading this book. I love books and always pass them on to my library but this one is so bad I threw it in the garbage when I finished reading it.Rating: 2 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Never trust a politician: A critical review of politics and politicians).
