I was excited to receive this due to the amount of hooks and versatility it would bring compared to traditional hook racks. When i opened the package 4 keys fell out which i arrogantly looked past in my excitement to install it. After tightening the keys and stripping the machanism to tighten it (which only took about 1.5 turns) i decided to see how it reactes on the wall. At first asthetically pleasing i ran into the problem that the 4 keys that had magnets on them would not lay up against the wall due to the grooves being cut inefficiently and would instead, if the magnets did work, would be hanging out like they could hold something (quite possibly a feather). So in reality if your hanging up coats or flannels you still only have 4 hooks to be reasonable as any traditional rack. I wish there was a review that explained this better so i could of swerved on this buy. I would not recommend this to anyone who expects to use more than 4 hooks with the annoyance 4 more false hooks barely floating on the wall which i would expect to fall off everytime this item is touched. Such a dissapointment.

Just simply twist both ends of the rack and the keys will tighten and not fall forward anymore and be easier to install. I'm glad someone elder wrote about how to do that because we thought it wouldn't work too but now it's working great and we love it! I never leave reviews but so many people were having this problem and the solution wad simple.

This product it kind of a nightmare to install as it constantly twist when trying to attach it to the wall. I also did not trust the anchors that were provided so we got some heavy duty ones.It looks really cool, however not all of the "keys" stay up aganist the wall. Some do, some dont.

It’s a very cool looking design.Most of the keys stay up, I have one or two that don’t...I see people talking about twisting the ends keeps all the keys up, does that mean you twist the last key on both ends?

I did finally figure out this rack and its so cool... The keys need to be tightened at each end.. I think people would love this if this came with instructions so you can figure it out..

Man, I wish this worked. 85% of the keys fall into the hook position and will not sit against the wall. I even tried with a shim and it just doesn't happen. Now I have to pay to ship it back. Such a bummer.

All the criticisms mentioned by others are valid. Nonetheless, this is a great design and for the price, decently constructed. I love the creativeness reflected the the piano key design and if I need to keep the keys from dropping (I don't have that problem at the moment) there are an abundance of easy ways to accomplish.

the piano keys do not lie flat on the wall. Half are flopping out away from the wall. Not such a clean look as expected.
