Yankee Candle Gift Set | with 8 Scented Candles, Votive Holder, Wick Trimmer and Illuma-Lid Candle Topper | 11-Piece Candle Set

This product was shipped without adequate packaging! Not so much as a fragile sticker to keep the candles intact. On top of that they shipped it in the pretty gift box without any protection. There was a big dirty postage label stuck to the top of my box which will not come off. The box was sellotaped closed with package tape and then sellotaped into the sleeve. It looks awful. The edges of the box are damaged on all sides. This was, as the name of the product suggests, supposed to be a gift. A massive part of the Yankee candle gift sets is the packaging and I am extremely disappointed. These gift sets cost a lot of money. I will likely have to gift mine without the nice exterior box turning a £60 gift into something that looks cheap and thrown together.The candles, as per usual, smelt great and were (miraculously) undamaged. But I would not recommend anyone shop yankee products online.

ok for a present but be aware how much you pay for this. dont be fooled by the RRP £72. its not worth £72 and is hardly ever sold for £72. I paid £27 on black Friday and that's about as much as its worth.

I am very disappointed in this as they did not put in an outer box just stuck about 3 big labels on the pretty box the candles game in ... I am finding it very hard to get the labels of the box ... It's for a gift and it does not look right ... Am sooooo mad now !!! As the box is tearing as I try to take them off ... Not happy with this ...

Yankee candles are my wife’s favourites I knew I couldn’t go wrong with these and I didn’t a great addition to her Christmas gifts she was very pleased and couldn’t believe how much she got in the box, It’s good to have a happy wife with a big smile on her face.Money well spent and great value to boot.

I was in 2 minds about buying this, because you don't even get one large-size candle here, but overall, given what's included, it's worth it for £27. The main reasons for this are the wick trimmer and the lid that fits large and medium jars, and that immediately stopped a flickering flame that was starting to turn my brand new jar sooty, and, ensured that the candle burned evenly, so I didn't have that dip in the middle and wasted wax around the sides. It saves so much wasted wax!!I've not seen the candle cover sold separately and I'm irritated that this isn't featured more prominently as despite following burn instructions, I almost always end up with wasted candle due to uneven burn, but this is a great buy. I'd happily have paid up to £10 for this.You get 6 votives and a votive glass, one wick trimmer, one candle cover, one small jar and one medium one and they're a nice mix of festive and non-festive (the latter being Angel Wings and Cashmere) scents, and you could even split the pack to give as gifts. What's nice about it is that if you are gifting this as a whole set, YC seems to have taken previous years' feedback on board and packed the box into a sleeve that looks like a 'coffret', that is then sealed into a sturdy outer box, that's then packed into an Amazon box for transport. No more 'stickers on the box' and no more contents loose inside (everything is laid out with that crunchy moulded plastic that holds everything in place). Yes, there's a lot of recycling but it protects the gifts.If you're not looking at gifting this, I'd suggest looking out for this in the post-festive season sales, as it's likely to go down in price, seeing as this box comes out annually with changes. And, in case anyone is interested, the candles are all made in Czech Republic and they smell as strong as any others I've bought.Update: 26/11/20 - have returned this, as none of the votives emit any scent, yet in their wrapping, they do smell wonderful. It's not just that the votive holder is deep, but that they just burn and melt away without any of the scent going anywhere. Disappointing. 2* removed.

Bought this as a Christmas present for my wife as she loves her candles so Christmas day when she opened them she was really pleased with them, trouble was with out knowing my daughter had also bought a set of these candels so my wife was doubley pleased with them.

Compared with individual full prices for the components, this set offers good value and attractive packaging as a gift, although note there are often promotions available and the combination may be cheaper to purchase individually. The gift box is very nice however and contains one medium (not large) glass jar, one small jar, 6 votive candles, plus hardware items of illumalid, wick trimmer and votive holder.The Christmas version has festive decorations on the box, whilst the alternative is suitable for gifting at all times of the year.The box and plastic insert are both sturdy and ensure the candles and accessories stay in place and do not cause any damage to each other, as well as providing a 'wow' moment when the card cover is first removed.It will make a lovely, prepackaged present for someone with an attractive range of Yankee scents. I purchased more of these sets as gifts whilst available at deal prices, where they offer much better value, even if the contents are destined to be used by you personally. All very useful and with a range of lovely scents.
