I own a few similar drones but I really wanted this model because of its GPS return home feature..Upon opening it, (came beautifully packaged)The first thing I liked was the durable feel to it.I really like that you can recharge the battery via USB BUT it does take about 5 hours per pack.I get about 1 hour of flight time Total which I thought this was pretty awesome compared to my other drones!I am near a suburb in New York so my range is limited to about 300 yards distance but at that range I cant see the drone which is why I love the auto return to home feature. The GPS mode works really well and is very accurate. A great way to protect your investment. I thought I had lost it at one point last week. I had no visual, no sound and the picture dropped out BUT, a minute later it showed up over my head. That was Awesome!!The camera is extremely stable allowing for a crisp and vivid view. I have taken some incredible videos and images with this drone.I was in 30 MPH gusts today and you would never know it as it hovered about 100 feet up. I decided not to tempt fate however and landed soon after.the flight experience is wonderful!I am absolutely in love with my new toy. i’ve had it for almost 3 months and I still look forward to using it on the weekends.Totally Worth the price!

I would have given this drone 5 stars if it wasnt for the following issues. 1) It would be more handy if you could mount your phone above remote, not below. 2) Every time my son has flown it, we have taken flight at the same location and we have had to recalibrate it with satellites. 3) An extra charger would have been great. Had an issue with one of the batteries not charging completely. Flora, with customer service was quick to resolve the problem. A new battery is in the mail. Thanks Flora! Overall, I am thinking of purchasing one for me.

This is a awesome drone I had problems with my first drone the customer service is amazing and sent me a first replacement the second drones worked great I have really enjoy using it I have been using it for bird eye view of a projector I have been workin in crystal clear videos and pictures

I received this as a Christmas gift. Was really excited to see how it performed. Took it out Sunday afternoon and had 4 somewhat successful flights. One time it took off and went straight up and hovered at about 40’ without my controlling it to. After about 15 seconds I regained control. Each time I used the auto return and it worked. I was about to take off on my 5th flight to see how the camera worked. When I released the propeller brake and the props started to turn, the right front prop and motor came right out of the housing! I didn’t want to force it back in, so I packed it up and emailed the manufacturer hoping that they could give me some guidance on how to repair it. 3 days later I still have not heard back, so I decided to have Amazon replace it. I’ll update this post once I receive the replacement. Right now I’m not a happy camper with this drone. Time will tell if it is worth the money spent on it.Received the replacement drone. Worked fine. Better than the first. Now a new issue. One of the batteries will not take a charge. No matter what I try it just sits there with all the lights flashing and will not charge. I am done with this drone. Am returning it for a refund.My advice is to stay away from this model and probably the manufacturer as well. They never responded to my emails. Two units in a row had issues. I’m going to spend a little more and get a better quality one.

My son wants to have a drone for years and it was not safe from him since he was young. But this year he is turning 16 and this was the perfect time to give him a beginner drone. This aovo drone was in the right price range and it can handle multiple tasks like shooting 4k video and photos. Automatic returning home and points on the flight path. It does not have an advanced 3 axis gimble like other $1000 drones do, but it can move 180' vertically. In the end, it does really well in this price range. And the total flight time is about 50+ mins.

The battery life isn’t 30 minutes per battery, it’s about half that. FPV range isn’t 1200 feet, it’s about 500feet. There is no serial number, there is no Customer Service in any country other than China. There is no way to get parts without giving your info to a foreign website, that includes Propellers, Batteries, and other accessories. It is absolutely NOT 4K quality…It may be close, but I don’t think 4K video plays back Frame by frame. Great for taking pictures though. I do like the beginner mode, it keeps it from flying too far. The real disappointment for me is The FPV lie. But nothing has blown up yet. I’ll be staying away from the brand (aovo) from now on.
