Heavier than advertised
Took the tent on a 2 night backpacking trip in Northern PA. Was expecting this tent to be under 4 lbs like the description says. It weighs about 4.5 lbs. I guess if you don't bring the stakes and fly then it might be under 4 lbs. The second night I had to set this tent up in the pouring rain. It was a little hard to put it up alone. But was freestanding so I was able to turn it upside down to get the rainwater out of it, then turn over my tarp to the dry side to place it on. It poured and poured but not much rain got in, I am thinking that only because it was already wet it felt like drops coming down once in a while. I did not seam seal, so I might try that also. The tent was a little short or my sleeping pad was too long so I slept diagonal.

worth the money
Great tent, roomy and seems well constructed. Only gave four stars because even using lighter stakes weight was still closer to 5 lbs. I watered proofed before using and used 1 time on an over night hike. That night there was a severe thunder storm with a heavy down pour. No leaks, but I did have condensation problems. I also used a tarp foot print. A very spacious tent for 1 person, but will reasonably accommodate 2.

Good deal, roomy for 2 people 5' 2" and 6' 2" people
This is not 7 foot long, more like 6' 5" long, my boyfriend and I fit in it perfectly, it's actually very roomy, the rainfly doesn't sit flush with the ground but that won't matter, the tent itself is mesh and then you cover it with a rainfly so it cannot be used in the fall and winter unless you have a very good sleeping bag, really good product for $40 and light at 3 pounds (another review said close to 5 pounds, not by a long shot) The floor of the tent is the same material as the rainfly so I hope it's waterproof!

Good tent for the price
I bought this tent for some Appalachian Trail section hiking. Test has nice light aluminum poles and a very good sized mesh top for warmer weather. I experienced rain on my AT hike and the tent kept me nice and dry even without applying any seam sealer on it. I had no issues with the tent and think it is a very good value for the price. While it may not be as good as your expensive name brand backpacker tents, if you are looking for a decent tent at a low price, then I recommend this tent.

Perfect lightweight tent good quality
This was so perfect I bought a second one so each of my Boy Scouts could have one. We have used these camping around the country at National parks. They are so quick to set up, light weight, and durable. Take down is literally seconds. We fit 2 klymit pads side by side in each and still have room for some gear around edges. The fly also works as a gear shield as well. Love these!
