Pads work really well.
These pads were good for what we bought them for. He’s we will buy them again if needed.

Too thin to be helpful
This flap of silicone fit over small toe nicely but ultimately was not helpful. It’s just too thin to provide much cushioning. I soon stopped using it despite my continuing pain. I don’t know how they could make it thicker and still fit in a shoe, but as it is there’s no benefit.
