Filled with lots of fun facts and sparkles children's curiosity!
This book is adorable! It definitely sparkles children's curiosity as they learn about a new insect at the turn of each page. The story is written with a great sense of humor that young learners can relate to. My daughter loved memorizing new fun facts about each bug/not bug! The book's bright and vivid illustrations capture children's attention and make them eager to turn the page. The story is easy to follow, has a nice flow, and a great finale. The literacy activities at the end of the book are fantastic for the little ones' reading comprehension. Definitely recommend it to all the little learners who love bugs and want to discover more about them while mastering reading skills.

Kids will love this book and it will inspire them to want to learn more.
A really cool book about a boy going on a bug hunt. It’s written in a fun way that teaches lots of very interesting facts about insects. It also demonstrates that even though insects are very different and unique in their own ways, we humans have things in common with them. The literacy actvities at the end are a big bonus!! Kids will love this book and it will inspire them to want to learn more!!

Fun read - sparked curiosity!
I bought this book for my friend's kids who love bugs. What a great find! They loved learning that the insects they call bugs aren't true bugs (and even made me look up "true bugs" when we were done reading). The extra reading activies at the end were a huge hit, especially with the younger one, who is just learning to read.

Keep this one on your Kindle!
I read this today with my second grader and we both enjoyed it. His favorite observation was that ladybugs and spiders are alike because both eat bugs. We also learned that many creatures we thought were bugs, are not! This will add a fun new activity to our nature walks and we look forward to reviewing it as we explore the neighborhood. The literacy activities were fun to do as well.

Bugs, messes, and a fun story
This story is a fun beginning reader that explores the world of creepy-crawlies using very simple language. The story explains that most of the critters people might call bugs aren't "true bugs"--which I found fun as an nature-enthusiast. At the end, I was a bit disappointed that the story didn't include an actual bug, but it's still a fun story!

My 7 year old son and I really enjoyed this book! It was perfect for his reading level and contained so many fun, interesting facts about what is and isn’t a true “bug”. I personally learned a lot and it prompted some great discussions in my household. A wonderful book!

Simple, easy to read book that teaches children about bugs
This was a simple and easy to read book that teaches children about bugs. A little boy goes on a bug hunt. Along the way he sees many insects but none are bugs. He sees ants, ladybugs, crickets and many others. Cute story. The author provides some activities at the end around alphabets and reading.

Glorious mini beasts
It is so important to get children to connect with nature. Not just cute bunny rabbits but insects and arachnids too who are all essential parts of the ecosystem. The book is fun and educational and there is a bonus of literacy activities at the end.
