I got this knife as I was fed up of trying to cut tomatoes, lemons etc with our usual straight edged knives. You really need a serrated blade for some things in the kitchen.The stock photos on Amazon do not really do justice to how pretty the handle is, with its multi-coloured layers, hence I have added a couple of photos. The serrated blade is just what we needed for chopping certain types of fruit and veg.It's well made and does the job well. At this price point I was really happy with the quality and beauty of what I received.

Last one of these got damaged when accidently pit in yhe dishwasher. These are great kitchen knives.

I'd hoped for much, as these looked like beautiful knives, but was left so disappointed. Not only does the metal tang sits proud of the wooden handle, resulting in a sharp edge for your fingers/hand when you hold it, but the finish is poor. The wood has been crudely filled where it did not meet the bottom of the knife and there's a hole in the wood, where the filler has been missed. Nice looking, but I have not even taken it from the packaging, as holding it is uncomfortable. Already arranged a return. Come on Sabatier - you can do so much better than this!

Actually kind of pretty, and super-sharp blade.The rivets were slightly proud of the wooden handle, which niggled. Ground them flat, and now even my perfectionism is happy. - - -Bought at £11.49, with free Prime delivery.Item was delivered on-time, as-described, and suitably packaged.
