This is a beautiful barette. It comes perfectly packaged in a small, bowed box like a jewel. And it’s super pretty. I got the shell and it’s a blend of colors with a lovely sheen. The brand name Evita Peroni is printed on the underside. And a tiny gold logo emblem is on the shell part.I have very fine hair and most barrettes slide out. This one did too, but it held better than most. I think it would work perfectly on average to thicker hair. It also opened and closed easily and did not try to snag any of my hair on removal.My one reservation on this barette is the price point. It is expensive for what it is. But it’s the nicest barette I have ever seen and if you wear it often you will easily get your value from it.

This is a well made, and extremely pretty hair barrette. The brown and cream tortoiseshell looks amazing in my auburn hair! This comes in very pretty packaging, making this giftable. The barrette is moderate sized. In my very thick hair, I am able to hold back the top layers (about 1/3 of my hair) away from my face, but I could not use this to hold my hair in a pony tail. The barrette holds really really well as there is a ... plastic, or smooth rubber (I can't tell what it is) lining on the inside of the clip so its not just metal against the hair. This stops some of the slipping that can happen with these clips. The clasp itself is a little more substantial than some I have seen, which is good since that is usually the first place a Barrette fails, especially the cheaper ones. I suspect this will hold up well with repeated use, perhaps even for years.However, in the end, its a Barrette made, basically, out of an acrylic and metal. If this cost more than 50 cents to manufacture (and likely much much less) then I'll eat, well, I'll eat this barrette! And to sell what is basically a fancy hair clip for $15 seems excessive. I've seen similar looking ones for between 3 and 7 dollars at other stores. Granted, they ARE much more cheaply made, and much less likely to hold up over time, but barrettes/clips have a way of getting lost over time, unless you are way more careful than the average person (I am not). So, its a great product, but the price seems excessive.

This is a very pretty hair clip. It is listed as a Large but it is more of a Med to small size. For a child this would be a large. I happen to have long thick curly hair this clip can not support the vast majority of my hair.The clip itself is just beautiful and looks fantastic in my hair. The presentation packaging is 100% giftable as is. No damages to the visible "tortoise" resin area, the clip itself latches firmly and is easy to remove when taking off.Price point for make and design is well worth it.

This hair clip looks so attractive.It is made of resin and feels strong.It opens well and holds all the hair.The edges of this clip are not sharp and does not pull the hair.

This barrette is by far the nicest I've ever owned! It is absolutely gorgeous AND I have fine hair it and it stays securely in place all day long. There is a very nice rubber backing on the clasp that does a great job holding my hair without pulling. Normally I would say that $15 is too much to pay for a barrette but this one is worth every penny.
