Scientoy Microscope for kids, 100X,400X and 1200X Magnification with Prepared Slides,Science Toys for Children, Blue/Yellow

My 8yo has been interested in science lately but we had no idea if her curiosity about a microscope would be worth investing in a "real one" so we got this toy one just to see. The one prepared slide wasn't enough to hold her interest so we ordered a $15 pack of them from Amazon. The knobs and mechanics are easy for little fingers. Sometimes it can frustrate her trying to get a slide in view (it's easy to bump it out of focus and the knobs are little too easy to turn/could use more resistance to stay in focus), so we parents will get it setup then let her change colors or zoom in more. For $25, its not high tech or anything but it can help nurture a love of science! I'm attaching photos we took with a cell phone, looking into the view. Cool!

This microscope is fine for the price and for younger kids. The box is hilarious and indicative that it's very cheaply made. Someone Google translated the copy on it for sure.I'd recommend upping your budget, even just another another $40-$60 and getting something sturdier. I may even send this one back and do the same.

I liked the microscope very much; it's very beautiful and attractive, and has great magnification; but it is a little to difficult to operate for a 4-year- old. I think it's better for about an 8 year old. Also, it would be better if it came with more prepared slides.

A little difficult for the kids to find the object they are looking for , wish the view was a little wider.

It was easy to use. It's not professional quality so don't expect much.
