Has this cable been updated yet first quarter 2017? Looking for a 10' that can handle 2560x1440 @144hz..

This cable, the 6ft one would not run 2k at 144hz for me, but would run both 1090 and 2k at 120fps. My monitor is extrawide, but it would run some resolutions that wouldn't fit on my monitor at 144hz. This outperformed the 20dollar bestbuy cable, but in order to get what you're looking for you'll need a better cable.

Honestly I couldn't find any solid information on compliance for this cable so i can't say (No info on VESA certification). I currently have it hooked up to a 1080p Freesync monitor and have no problems with display quality or any of the issues that an active 20th pin normally causes (And its getting crazy amounts usage with no issues so far). I did use it briefly to test a new 4K TV and the image quality was excellent. On both instances they were hooked to the same PC and the GPU I have on that is an XFX's Radeon R9 380X. Could this cable display over 60hz on my monitor?

That mostly depends on your source, your monitor and your resolution.This cable supports Display Port revision 1.2, this supports 1920x1080@240Hz, 2560×1440@165Hz and even 4k@75Hz.
