Best Knives I've Ever Used (7 years review)
Update: 7 years since I bought these and they are still the best knives in my kitchen. No rust, chipping, flaking. The non-stick has 'faded' but never flaked or chipped like some of these reviews. The cutting edge holds up quite well and in the recent two years I've done quite a bit of cooking.I usually sharpen once every 3 months or so with a whetstone, and just use a honing rod every other time I use the knives. Incredibly sharp each time and slices through soft tomatoes with gravity alone.I think what makes them superior to the other knives is just how thin and forgiving the blades are. My other knives are rigid, somewhat thicker, and feel more like 'choppers,' whereas these feel more like 'slicers.' Personally I prefer the extra flex in the blade, and the thinness means I can get a thinner/finer cutting edge.I honestly don't know how people are snapping their knives like they are. I've had these for 7 years and counting, and I've cut things soft to hard and large to small. Even my mom decided these were better than her $50+ knives and got a set for herself.I'm just waiting to wear them out up to the holes from sharpening one day and then I'll get new ones.------------Holy hell these knives are great. Super light, and super sharp. Bought two and have been using them for 2 years with my roommates, and they still slice like cutting butter. Could probably use some sharpening now, but still much sharper than the other knives we have.Definitely would recommend. So cheap and sharp. Will be the next knife I buy, if I ever need another.

SHARP!
Wow! I bought this knife to use on beef. I wanted paper thin slices of beef. This knife trimmed beef fat off like it was warm butter. Then I started cutting beef slices. I was done before I even had a chance to get bored with tedious cutting. The slices turned out perfectly. I can't wait to see how this knife works on a finished beef roast or even chicken.I would buy this again and I think I will buy a few as gifts for my kids. One word of caution! SHARP AF. I'm almost scared to use this knife.

Awesome considering the cost. 100% recommended...
I had a knife exactly the same as this (no manufacture listed on it) that someone gave to me. I tossed it in the back of a drawer (sheathed) and forgot about it, After all, I love my set of Shun Classics so why bother with this?I ended up having house guests for awhile and took this out so as to not worry about my Shun knives being misused. That little "thin" knife won my heart. Super slicey! But alas the tang doesn't run through the handle and it finally broke inside the handle. I continued to use it without the handle (very carefully) till I found these knives.I bought these and they are the spitting image of the one that broke.DO NOT expect these to hold an edge. They won't.But put your honing skills to work after each use and they will slice tomatoes paper thin without holding the tomato! Ten swipes on the honer and you got a very slicey knife that won't break your heart to replace each year. And don't use near bone or on hard to cut veggies (like butternut squash). Will be buying again once i wear these out!

Fun knife with great price
I am a sushi chef and bought this knife on an impulse to use at home. The knife is pretty decent for the price tag. The bad news? It feels kinda cheap - the handle, blade, etc. The good news? It IS cheap.4 stars for the price and fun factor. Right out of the box, the knife was pretty darn sharp and looked like it was ready to kick some sushi butt. And kicked butt it did -- a killer knife with maki and rolls, but not at all effective when using wax paper. In regard to it's non-stick feature, it worked okay. I still had to use a wet towel to wipe off the blade between sushi rolls.Overall, the knife was fun to look at and play with, but once the novelty wore off...I was pretty much done with it. However, I'd definitely recommend the knife for at-home cooks looking to experiment with sushi. The price can't be beat!

Insanely sharp knife
I have a lot of knives and consider myself to be a "knife guy". When i saw this for around $8 i wanted it as cheaper knife that i can use for when I don't want to break out a chef's knife for cutting a few small things or doing prep work. after reading the reviews, I bought one, and I concur with the other reviews that this knife is crazy sharp. the blade is very thin, but is so sharp it can still cut through beef and chicken like nothing. one pass with the knife is all you need to get through steak or chicken breast easily. The knife is extremely lightweight as well, Probably because I don't think the knife is full tang. the dropped blade/recessed handle is a nice touch as it keeps my knuckles from hitting the board like a good chefs knife should, and the slight upsweep in the blade makes mincing fairly easy. the coating does work well, water rolls right off. BUT DO NOT PUT THIS KNIFE IN THE DISHWASHER. People who say their knives get too dull or fall apart are the ones who put them in the dishwasher. Dishwashers are not good for the steel or materials used to keep the knife together. take care of it as you would a high end chef's knife by hand washing and drying and you won't have any issues.

Excelente cuchillo para los sushis
Desde que me llegó el cuchillo, se cortan muy bien los sushis que preparó en casa, y a todos nos gustó mucho. Se los recomiendo mucho.

Cheap But Sharp
Got this a few months back and its been a fairly solid knife. Cuts almost everything well and holds edge fairly well for the price I paid. The only bother is the handle is made with a couture that makes it hard to use the knife with a professional cutting method. Maybe its just me, but you can't choke up on the blade and get control because it feels that you need to have your thumb at the top as if you were holding a gun. Maybe for a stay at home cook or beginner, not that I'm a 5 star chef, but I wouldn't take this to work or use this more than I had to.

Great knife for the money.
I like the sharpness and the less sticking properties.

Great for sushi cutting
The none stick function of the knife makes it perfect for cutting sushi/sashimi. It is very lightweight. Good value
