Amazing set, especially for first timers! I’ve never made candles before and didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg on supplies I might never use again. Honestly this kit is PERFECT—great quality products and includes everything you need (and then some!) for less than $30. My only complaint is that my candles don’t smell as strong as I’d like—I experimented with different amounts of essential oils, but even in a small room the scent(s) are pretty faint. More guidance/tips on how to make stronger scents would’ve been great, but that’s easy enough to solve with a quick Google search next time, not a huge deal. Overall though, this kit is awesome, highly recommend. :)

What I really needed was beeswax pastilles to make my salves. I couldn’t find any at the time. I add cbd and thc to my topical only, pain salve. The thc fragrance is strong. Not ideal for shipping to friends.So the beeswax pellets are for making candles, I’m pretty sure. It took a while longer to melt down than the softer pastilles. And instead of blending well with the salve (70/30-pastilles/pellets), most of the pellet wax stayed on the top as it hardened in jars. It created a seal at the top, which cut the fragrance down to about, I’d say 30%. So for this, it turned out to be an unexpected value.

Kit was a very fun experience. The colors were beautiful, and the scents were really good. I do wish the scents were a little stronger, and the amount of wax matched the containers.

Great kit, comes with everything you need to start making candles. Only con that I have is it came with soy wax vice beeswax.

This is a seriously awesome deal to experiment with candle making. While I think the aroma of the "essential oils" was off-putting (smells artificial and low quality), you can't beat this price if you want to see if candle making is for you or not, or just have a fun family night away from technology. Plus, I've been able to use the basket that came along with it for my books, a basket that could cost around $15 in and of itself.

It's perfect for a beginner.

I got this basket specifically for the lavender and mint oils. Those are my boyfriend’s favorites. I received Sandalwood instead of mint. My beeswax also had 3/4 bags where it was melted into a block. Sure this won’t affect my candle making, just a little disappointed!

it is pricey but comes with amazing supplies such as a candy thermometer, a long metal spoon for stirring, and a tin pitcher which you melt the wax in. overall, 5 stars
