I have 3 of these that I use in duties associated with my profession. Two of them are fairly new and work flawlessly. The first one that I bought has been sketchy from the start. Does not turn on consistently. That problem seemed to go away, but has returned in addition to when it does turn on it quickly dims even on a fully charged battery. I’ve cleaned all the contacts and still no luck. If all three worked good I would give 5 stars. Great flashlight if it turns on!

This flashlight I just bought is made of some kind of solid aluminium alloy. It looks really cool and it feels great when you get to touch it. Another reason that I like it is that it is very bright and it could reach a 300 meter range. It is also very intelligent designed. There is an on/off button at the bottom. I just need to press the button on the side to change the mode of it. This flashlight has a memory function which was never featured on any of the flashlights I have ever used. The temperature control function also impressed me a lot! When I turned the flashlight to the brightest mode for over three minutes, it just switched to the next mode automatically. It is just a wonderful design! It really helps a lot to extend the life of the flashlight! I just like it very much.

I own two small nitecore lights and my P-12 broke when it fell out of my front pocket. Not happy.I decided to try this light and am very happy so far. Quality is equal to nitecore and just as bright.

**UPDATE**Both of the lights became unreliable a couple months after purchase.You have to pop them on a hard surface and hope the light comes on. I'm going back to Fenix.A couple of the reviews are very questionable and seem pretty fake. But... I have this and the Fenix PD35. The Fenix costs almost double. Side by side comparison reveals the light to be nearly as bright as the Fenix. I have no complaints about the light. I would recommend replacing the included battery and charger with a better brand though. Push button works well, side button for four levels of intensity, I leave it on brightest and change when needed. For some applications, it is too bright but easy to adjust. This does NOT adj6st focus/zoom and I did not want that junky feature. Distance is good, didn't measure but it is at least 100 feet. **Update - I liked it enough to buy a second one a week later.

I have a stream light tactical light that has 450 lumens out put and is brighter than this Hitachi 1600 lumens light I just purchased. I wanted a light that exceeded the streamlights 450 lumens and I feel this advertised item is a joke.

Works great, eats up batteries on high lumens, but a nice light!
