Good but must have tin snips
Pretty easy to install. So far been having it for 6 months or so and no rats or mice. The only thing you have to know is that you need tin snips. It comes with a long sheet of metal that you have to bend and cut yourself. If you are ok with that, then this product is fine.

Just what I needed
Porduct worked great and keeps sealed up even in our high winds that we sometimes get.

OK product
It is very easy to clean out lint that would keep it from closing, which I find to be an important feature. It feels like it won't last as long as I would like, but it has held up for a year. Time will tell.

Works and looks nice
Looks nice and works. Hasn’t flapped around in the wind. The tube u get with it is a little flimsy, but I suspect it’s no worse then you would get with any other vent.

Very low profile with similar energy benefits as the Chimney pipe versions
We had one of the Chimney Pipe style Dryer Vents for 15 years. After it lost its latch a few years back, it became unreliable and would occasionally blow its stopper out. While looking for a replacement, we wanted something that kept the energy savings benefits but had a lower profile. This fit the bill.During install, we found it was a little too low profile and we needed to back it up with a PVC board in order to fully cover the dryer opening in our brick. In looking at the No pest vent website, we discovered that they sell many versions of this product with and without accessories, like the backing plate we made ourselves. It's worth a look to see if a different model will work better for you.The magnet is sized just right to securely close and open when the dryer is on. I hope it lasts for another 15 years!

Not long enough for houses with brick façades.
Not long enough for houses with brick façades. I wanted to like this. It’s a clever idea with the auto-latching magnet feature. But it’s a bummer the neck is about 1/2-3/4” too short. It would not pass through my 1994 home exterior wall with brick façade. The aluminum tube seemed lighter gauge (thinner) than the ones at the local home improvement store too. So I’m suspect of how long this would would last. Would love to have them spend a little more to make the pipe (neck) a little longer and stronger. Would be a great design then.

3 years and still great...
Wow, it's been 3 years since I installed this vent and i have no complaints. My family does a lot of laundry, 5 or 6 loads a week.‐Installation: A careful handyperson should have no trouble. Just keep the back plate flat so it doesn't bend. On stucco i used caulk to fill behind it and keep it flat.-Durability: The plastic isn't overly heavy, but it's been out in the sun, heat, and cold and has no signs of degradation.-Lint buildup: A+ The wider opening keeps the lint flowing through my 15-foot duct, and the duct will not need cleaning for quite a while. Fuzzies of lint occasionally build up under the flap door and keep it from closing fully. However, they soon blow away, and the vent appears to remain pestproof in this state.- Snow and climate: My vent is on my foundation about 16" off the ground in Pennsylvania. Even with snow, the warm air always manages to push the flap door open when needed. The double flap with magnet keeps wind and cold air from blowing in.So all in all, it's been "install & forget."
