Some of the stones are fine but most of them are cheap glass beads or very small. One was literally a pebble. Based on the pictures I thought we were getting more variety of actually stones. Do not recommend.

Will be attempting to return this immediately. Box was extremely small, only 8 inches across, came in a plastic envelope with no packaging at all, was smashed and damaged, with some of the date openings already opened, and the two loose "crystals" I saw were more like a piece of gravel and a scratched up blue "rock". Am feeling totally ripped off. I would be embarrassed to give this to anyone! How could this be marketed as National Geographic? Avoid at all cost.

VERY cheap! Purchased for my grandkids yet it's make so cheap, it is an embarrassment to give them. Don't bother to purchase!

Good thing I opened it to make sure there was a stone in each day! Glass stones I can buy at dollar store, rocks I can get on the road! I can’t believe National Geographic would have their name on this crap! Waste of money and time sending it back!

When this package arrived it was not identified as an advent calendar. So I opened it to only find stones loose from a clear plastic container with no ID at all

Waste of money. Not even real rocks, just painted glass and colored stones. Half of them didn't didn't stay in their compartments. Very cheap. Could find better rocks on the side of the road

This was a waste of money. most of the "stones" were colored glass. A few looked like they had been picked up in a yard. only 2 were actually "gemstones".

I was super excited about getting this for my daughter for Christmas. She loves rocks so I thought this would be perfect. I knew it would take a bit to arrive and it did arrive by the time frame expected. By November 23rd. BUT the condition of the box is awful. Not really gift worthy. The box was inside another package. Not sure why the box inside was so tore up because they outer package was intact. Not going to make a very good gift.
