Does What I Need It To Do Quickly Enough BUT ARE USB 1.1
We (spouse and me) shoot about 12,000 pictures a year, yet the only thumb drives I had were those given to me via company promotions or as Christmas gifts. Just a LegoLand trip with grandkids resulted in a gigabyte of pictures after serious editing and shooting only 6MP camera.Add to that movies and pictures from iPhone5s, and it is time to get some moveable storage which will allow me to view pictures and movies via Roku, OPPO, Smart TV, etc.So, I spent a couple of hours reading reviews and decided to order these. The reviews for this SanDisk Cruzer Fit Model SDCZ33-016G-B35, UPC 6 19659 07063 2 , while not technical, indicated that these drives were at least not objectionable.First, they are tiny. Literally stick out of any USB port only 1/4". Since so many of the reviews I read for other drives focused on speed of writing/reading, as soon as these guys arrived that was what I wanted to know - how fast were they?I had 2.38 gigabytes of pictures and movies from my iPhone so that is what I began transferring back and forth from laptop to drive to laptop.First I deleted the included yuuwaa secure software, as I am not a big cloud fan, and am mainly responsible for my own backups. Then I reformatted the drive. I started to go with the standard FAT32, 4096 bytes per unit, but then I chose default which is 8192 bytes per unit, because maybe the drive is optimized for default values. I elected not to quick format to start, but when 5 minutes had passed with no mercury in the format thermometer, I cancelled that and went with quick format which was over in seconds. Now to test. Six writes of 2.38 GB to root directory, then test folder in the root directory, then test folder in the test folder, etc., until the last write was to the G:\Test Folder\Test Folder 2\Test Folder 3\Test Folder 4\Test Folder 5 (six writes because the first write was to G:\).For Each Write I Transferred 347 items (*.mov *.jpg, and *.png files) which equalled 2.38GB or 2437.12 MB.1st write took 446 seconds to transfer 2437.12 MB or a transfer rate of 5.46 MB/s writing to SanDisk Cruzer.Read/Writing those same files back to the desktop from SanDisk Cruzer took 125 secs for 2437.12 MB for a transfer rate of 19.5 MB/s. Fast enough for watching a movie, which is the most intense thing I will be doing with it. [Incidentally, these transfers were all "copy" rather than "move" which would have been a bit slower.]2nd write took 441 seconds to transfer 2437.12 MB or a transfer rate of 5.53 MB/s writing to SanDisk Cruzer.3rd write took 446 seconds to transfer 2437.12 MB or a transfer rate of 5.46 MB/s writing to SanDisk Cruzer.4th write took 449 seconds to transfer 2437.12 MB or a transfer rate of 5.43 MB/s writing to SanDisk Cruzer.5th write took 448 seconds to transfer 2437.12 MB or a transfer rate of 5.44 MB/s writing to SanDisk Cruzer.6th write took 456 seconds to transfer 2437.12 MB or a transfer rate of 5.34 MB/s writing to SanDisk Cruzer* *five directory levels below root, and when this last write was completed the drive was 96% filled. From five levels below root directory, writing those same files back to the desktop took 120 secs for2437.12 MB for a transfer rate (Read & Write) of 20.3 MB/s. Fast enough for watching a movie.Just to make sure, I plugged it into my 2nd Gen Roku box and confirmed that the iPhone HD movies could be easily located and would play with no hitches. No problem! 5 Stars.Update 10/27/2014 - Have had fast boot with no echo enabled, so never see drivers or devices loading. While troubleshooting a balky B/G/N network adapter, I turned on boot diagnostics with echo back to the screen and noticed that these USB drives are version 1.1; explains why the speed is no better than it is. They are still fast enough to use as ready-boost devices on Vista and Win7 computers with Core 2 Duo processors. Have used these drives happily for a year, but will be more cognizant of buying USB 2.0 or 3.0 in the future. I do not think the description listed USB 1.0...Here is the same drive in USB 2.0 SanDisk Cruzer Fit 16GB USB 2.0 Low-Profile Flash Drive- SDCZ33-016G-B35 ; and USB 3.0 SanDisk 16GB CZ43 Ultra Fit Series USB 3.0 Flash Drive (SDCZ43-016G-G46)

Needed a Compact size USB thumb drive. This fits the bill
I wanted a low profile USB stick to use with a Gotek USB floppy drive emulator, so I didn't run the risk of breaking a thumb driver off in the USB port of the Gotek. This works great. It sits maybe 1'4" out from the face of the computer and doesn't really look out of place on a computer from the early 1990s. 16GB is MORE than enough to store a few thousand 1.4MB Floppy disk images.

Great for music in the car
Small size makes them less likely to get damaged or wreck the socket in your car.

Buyer Beware
Be aware that the cover is not included. Contacted seller regarding this and they stated that it's no longer available. One of the main reason I had chosen this was because of the covers for the flash drive.Everything else is accurate enough but 3 star rating due to the misinformation.

Tiny & Perfect
They're really small (I keep one in my laptop permanently (even when I travel with my laptop) because this tiny flash drive doesn't get in the way. Does Not overheat. I'm happy with the data transfer speed & it holds close to the advertised 64GB. Nice little flash drive.
