Good size for storage
I have not used this yet, however it is small so easy to store. Description was exact. Packed well to avoid damage in transit and shipped and delivered as expected.

Quick and easy and accurate...
I love this thermometer! It’s quicker than most and very accurate. This is the second one I have purchased... I had the first one for years but my husband dropped it into the sink into a soaking pot and it sat overnight.... it definitely isn’t waterproof when submerged... which is to be expected so..... It’s great!. Also the bright color is a plus because it’s easy to see in the drawer also.

Good
Item was received unpacked and wrapped with Scotch tape, the thermometer was dropped in the box, but it worked fine. It is estimated that it was opened by customs for inspection.

Not a real workhorse, though seems durably built despite design flaws.
I received this as a gift, instead of the Cooper Atkins I stated I wanted.I'll start with the good stuff, cause there are awesome things about itIt's tiny - slips easily into a sleeve pocket on your whites. The protective sleeve has the usual hole in the side of it to stick the probe through can safely temp a hot liquid/fry oil. The sleeve also slips over the back so now you have a LONG temp probe. Very cool.Fast, consistent read.Easy to switch between metric/standard.The buttons, while small, are difficult to accidentally press, and are spaced _just_ far enough apart that you can press the one you intend to, even with my big fingers. Now, the things that aren't bad, but certainly aren't good:The clip seems flimsy. Granted, I haven't broken it yet, and it holds ok, but it's opening isn't wide enough to easily slip over a pocket seam.Temp hold function - I don't even understand who would use this function. Give me a min/max temp memory function instead so I can see what the highest temp something reached was.The negatives:The insertable probe is short, too short, in fact, to properly temp medium to large roasts. The LCD display is close to the middle of the thermometer, this makes it hard to read when it's plunged into a small-medium roast. This is useless for constant monitoring of any hot liquid. Candy making and deep fat frying are out of the question. After about a minute of temp monitoring , the LCD display gets hot and all the segments turn black. I've tried just barely sticking the probe in the liquid and I've even tried to shield the plastic portion of the probe with aluminum foil (garnering odd looks from co-workers) and it still turns black, I think this is because the metal part of the probe transmits heat up inside the plastic body, heating it from the inside out. Combine this with the fact that the LCD panel is so close to the metal probe, and I think it's just a poor design. At half the price, it would be a good probe, but for just a bit more, I personally would buy a Cooper-Atkins DFP450W-0-8. I had one work flawlessly for nearly a decade and even several trips through the washing machine.
