It is our belief that if you're not sweating, you're not eating hot enough, or playing hard enough. Therefore, in the name of all things fun, we introduce to you, Soul Lenses, a vehicle for catching all of life's most enjoyable moments and spicing up your mobile photography. In many cultures, the camera is seen as a device with the capacity to capture a piece of one's soul. In this context, it is often considered that this is at the detriment of the photo's subject. At Jalapeño Group, we recognize the truth in the belief that cameras have such a capability. In fact, we would argue that this is precisely what differentiates a good photo from a great one. Where our beliefs diverge, is that this process is inherently at the subject's expense. As the world renowned photographer Ansel Adams said, "You don't take a photograph, you make it." To create truly astonishing photography the photographer needs to inject their own creativity - a piece of their soul if you will - into the photo. Thus, it is not an apprehension of the subject's soul that takes place at the click of the shutter, but a glimpse of a fleeting moment where the souls of subject and photographer complement one another.
