I enjoyed these lights while I only used them with the app on my phone but couldn't get them to connect to my router getting a "weak signal message when the bulb was in a lamp 2 feet away from the router as well as trying it from across the room. Other devices have no trouble connecting to the router but these lights would not. I have a different brand of lights that do hookup fine. I have found that these bulbs (the 2022 version) only work on the 2.7 router unless

The variety of colors that you can choose from is great. So many different scenes and options you can choose from through their app. You can also adjust the brightness and much more definitely a cool option.

The bluetooth is great and has a good range of colors, there is some limitation to the amount of colors it can actually show but it’s still pretty good.

exactly what i was looking for! i wanted something to be able to give light and be dimmable and would be able to change color without looking ugly and ruining my vision like the strips would, but this is perfect i put them on my target lamps and work great! bluetooth is also great! and ive turned my light off and on from over 20miles from them and it works great!

By the number you want all at once. They tend to burn-out together.They last about 3 years, but bulbs tend to burn-out within two weeks of each other.

They've gone from 3 stars to 4. Thank you, Vont.********The app itself is okay. It's functional. It needs to development to go from okay to good. I like have a color wheel. I also appreciate being able to set rules and grouping bulbs.I've messed around with the other functions but found them wanting, but that's not why I bought them. If you're after responsive change to music, this is not for you.The brightness of the bulbs depends on the mode you're using. As a normal light, they're dimmer than what you might want. Lit up in color, they're brighter than the last brand I bought. I like that.

I wanted to replace a bulky smart plug with a smart bulb in order to add a dimming feature to an old lamp used on a bedside end table. This bulb was easy to set up and seems okay, with a few caveats. The only fairly bright setting is achieved by toggling on the “warm white” switch in the app ( warm white is close to “orange” on the color wheel, but the light it generates is much brighter). Unfortunately, you cannot access this brighter setting when using ALEXA. There is no way to get any of the other colors that bright … even at 100% the light is significantly reduced … so to illuminate the room at maximum level, you are stuck with “warm light”. I’m not sure if this failing can be addressed with a firmware or software update — if it can be fixed, it should be. Clearly the bulb is capable of producing a brighter light, but only in that one orangey color. I mostly bought the bulb to limit exposure to blue light before going to sleep, and it works well in that regard. It dims to 10%, but to completely darken the room you have to shut it off completely. The app is okay — it took two tries to do the firmware update and it was very slow. I imagine that is because the bulb can’t connect to 5g Wi-Fi — which is much faster on my router. Your phone and the bulb can be on different wi-fi, so that’s a plus. All in all, it’s been fun to play with the light and try out different levels and colors. I like the dimming functionality, but I’m not a fan of pulsing light scenes. If there were an option for brighter light levels at varying color temperatures, I would enthusiastically recommend it, since it’s significantly less expensive than similar bulbs … but it seems to be barely adequate for reading. It’s fine for ambiance, but you probably will need an additional light source for reading or tasks.

These lightbulbs are great for the price. They’re easy to set up & the color variety is nice. The only major downside is that they’re not very bright. The brightest color setting is Warm White, which is quite orangey, and there doesn’t seem to be a “Cool White” alternative that is as bright. So these bulbs are great for ambiance, but they’re not very good for everyday use in areas where it’s important to see well. Brighter color-changing bulbs (like Philips) are upwards of $200 for a 4-pack, which might be worth investing in for a long-term home, but for renters, these ones are a great alternative. I have these bulbs in my bedside lamps for reading and regular basic lightbulbs in my bedroom overhead light for cleaning or getting ready in the dark.
