This is an excellent glucometer i got it overnite excellent service from Amazon Prime. ! I have only used it once for. My mom just now but it even had 2 triple AAA batteries with it. It was $29.99 plus tax and shipping, lancets , lancet, 100 strips, and glucose test solution in a nice box and light is bright blue so you can see your reading. I hope it turns out to be great because I am impressed by its Quality, it has pre-meal and post -meal settings. Metene TD 4116 , it says you can download your results to a computer but it looks like you might need an LG cable for this. Overall so far after first use I am very happy asa caregiver for myself and my mom. All of the instructions were easy to,understand. It’s nice to know that I don’t have diabetes! I’m 66 and to make a long story short, I have bad varicose veins in one area of my leg. I figured it must be diabetes. So, I bought this unit and it has proved it to me over a few days of diligent testing.It’s super easy to use and it’s loaded with everything anyone could need to easily stay on top of things. This experience has scared me into thinking more closely about my diet and that’s a good thing. I’m not overweight and I do eat well. However, in my older age, I’ve found I love sweets; whereas in the past, I could easily pass up the pie, cake, cookies, etc. I now know I’ve got to put the breaks on that behavior and this excellent unit will help to remind me of that.I hope this little testimonial will give you some thought, too. It’s been worth every cent!UPDATE: 12-15-22. I found that you have to use a fair amount of blood to get a reading. For some reason these strips do not soak up blood as readily as others that I’ve used, so you should be aware of that.

I like this glucose machine: it’s easy to use, read but it seems to read higher than my Keto-Mojo. I have been fasting to get into ketosis & for this Metene to read 105 this morning I was shocked & disappointed!! So I checked my Keto-Mojo & it shows me at 84 which makes more sense. I was wanting to like this as the unit & strips were way less than the Keto-Mojo strips to replace but I think I need to return this (sorry Amazon 😮)& just break down & order more Keto-Mojo glucose & Ketone strips.NOTE: All my readings read higher on the Metene. I can accept 5 points but not today’s being 21 points higher on the Metene. I have used both since 12/9/22, & all readings are higher on the Metene.I hope this helps!! 😁

With a change in insurance I can now only get 100 test strips each 90 days. What diabetic uses only one test strip a day? So I went to buy some for my OneTouch. $68.88 for 50 at Walmart! So after some research I decided to go with the Metene. I like it much better! First the meter takes a standard AAA battery. (They give you two). Easy to setup. It has a back light so you can see the readings easily. It has a control solution to check the meter and the strip readings. Something the OneTouch does not. The lancets are 30/fine and very comfortable. You get 100 test strips, 100 lancets. I like everything about this product! I did comparisons between my OneTouch and the Metene. I'm always high with the OneTouch which cases me to over compensate. It's an old meter. The Metene gives me an accurate reading. I did multiple same time readings with the OneTouch and it could vary +/- 25. Or even more... So which reading is correct? The Metene only varied by +/- 5. Maybe the newer OneTouch meters are more accurate? For the price/features I'm going with the Metene. Goodbye OneTouch.

I have had many different blood monitors and always got them from Walgreens. But this one I got from y'all was super easy, it is definitely easy to read and use. The price was super cool.
