Q: Can this board be attached to a wooden door rather than a wall?

Yes, I had mine attached to a door before I had my kitchen remodeled Then I hung it on the wall. Both places work well.

Q: Can the board be mounted vertically?

I don’t think so unless you add brackets in the side. Also what would you do with the piece that holds the dry erase and the eraser

Q: i want to put on side of refrigerator. the item weighs 4.5 lbs. are there magnets that are strong enough to hold this on refrig ?

Its pretty heavy. I dont know of any magnets that can
