absolute necessity for outdoors
The hood fits and works well. I use it on the Samurai Blade. It is well made and the sizing is excellent. The holes for the mounting screws are accurate, however they could use some strengthening to withstand regular use. It is a flat fabic covering with no reflection.

Don't waste your time or money. Move along. Nothing to see here....
Kind of a rip off and complete waste of time. Here's why;1. Not a great fit. Required a bit of a stretch but it did eventually fit. But you now have to attach it by screwing something through the sun hood and into the Ninja... which is tough because the sun hood is so thick you can barely get any thread through to screw in securely.2. Doesn't actually do what it's supposed to do. I used it the day after I bought it for an outdoor shoot, and found myself constantly cowling the Ninja with both hands to see anything on the screen.3. WAY too overpriced... and that's if it DID work.Summary = pointless.

Not bad, not great
Sloppy and loose on the Ninja 2. Light leak all around the sides. Not bad, not great.

Works great with my Ninja Blade
This is a great hood for my Atomos Ninja Blade. I was expecting it to be plastic, but it is not. It feels cardboard wrapped in cloth. This may sound like a downside, but it is actually pretty good because it collapses nicely. This makes it easy to carry it around in a camera bag or in the provided case with the Atomos unit. It does a great job outside in bright conditions. Glad I bought it.

does the job
This visor does the job to create a little shade around the Atomos screen. Pretty good quality material, the big aluminum thumbscrews are handy to attach, but do make a bit unstable attachment to tripod.

Mounting holes drilled in the wrong place so if will not stay on the ninja blade unit.
Holes where the screws are supposed to go to hold it onto the Ninja Blade were not punched in the right place or centered. They where punched off center on the top and bottom, so it will not stay on the unit. I had to redrill my own holes to get it to fit.
