I had bought both the Original Monkey Mat and the Quilted version. I didn’t really like how lightweight the original one was so I returned it and decided to purchase the quilted mat. It is certainly thicker but I’m still not thrilled with it. The stitching on it was actually bad which leads me to think this won’t be very durable. The weights on the side really aren’t heavy enough to do anything, the wind blew my mat right off the ground, if you do purchase this I highly recommend getting the stakes that they sell.(separately, UGH!) I really like the idea of this mat and the fact that the travel bag is attached so you can’t lose it, but the quality just wasn’t there. I feel that it’s just not worth the price unfortunately.

While originally there was a problem with how Amazon filled this order, a direct call to the Monkey Mat company proved helpful. This awesome company swiftly corrected the issue and could not have been more pleasant to deal with. If all companies were this easy to deal with, the world would be a happier place.As for the product itself. I'm quite pleased. I am using this for work with a therapy dog. We frequently find ourselves at events which require both myself and my therapy dog to sit on the ground. Often we are outside and on damp ground. This mat has been perfect! The 5x5 size is just right for my dog and I and doesn't take up too much extra space. When folded, it's a perfect and manageable size to tote along. The snap buckle on the bag is great for attaching to the outside of the small backpack that I take to events. The red color is bright and fun! Whether we are having elementary kids read to us or if we're under a canopy at a public event, the color is attractive and gets attention. With a brindle colored dog, it's perfect because you can actually see him, unlike many colors where he becomes camouflaged. No, this is not highly padded, like a blanket, but it keeps us dry on wet ground, dog hair, sand and grass don't stick and it's easily pack-able and portable. I couldn't be happier.Thank you Monkey Mat for a great, useful product at a fair price.

We use this for my daughter who is almost 2 and she doesn’t like to sit or be in grass much so she enjoys it.I got red to make it highly visible wherever we put it.

I love the monkey mat but I'm bummed. Evauss I had it for not even two weeks before it ripped, leaking thin stuffing out. Now I don't want to wash it for fear of it being totally unusable.
