I read the reviews and so anticipated the flimsy nature of these but that is why they work so well. I put two on a Dollar Tree pan and that keeps them steady and catches any water that might spill due to my family not being careful. The purpose of the lids is basically to keep stuff from getting into the ice. They come out very easily and are great for larger water bottles. Our ice maker is on the fritz and this is a great temporary solution.

Be aware...the cover does not snap in place. It just slides around.

The "cover" for this just basically sits on top...it does not snap on. Because of the flexibility of the container, it's difficult to get it into the freezer without spilling part of the contents. You also need a perfectly flat area in the freezer, or it will leak over the sides

I was gonna only give 4 stars on the "easy to remove" but I think that's a me problem not the trays. This is my second try at large square ice cube trays and they are so much better that plastic ones. Just don't fill them to the rim, I leave about 1/4" empty and that helped with removal. They aren't freezing together anymore.

One tray holds 2 cups of liquid. Each icecube is 1/3 of a cup. I use these for the healing broth (medical medium). I fill up the tray with broth, freeze it, and then let sit on the counter top for 3-5 minutes and the cubes push out easily.

I've owned a couple large ice cube trays due to moving. This tray is clearly superior in the ease of popping cubes out, and the cover works decently, even if it's not a hard top.The problem is these cubes are BIG and might not fit into your glasses! I'm going to have to pay attention to the depth I fill this next time I make ice.

I purchased this because I like bigger cubes in my beverages. Side notes: lid is very flimsy and doesn’t lock on to base, no extra lip on base. The dividers go all the way up to the rim so unable to evenly level water before freezing. Once frozen any spill over then makes it difficult to remove single ice cubes.

The cubes, once frozen, are easy to remove. But because the whole container is silicon (including the lid), it’s a little dicey to get into the freezer. If you don’t fill all the way, it’s definitely easier.
