SW LUKE SKYWALKER & THE SHADOWS OF MINDO

Solid Star Wars EU adventure
A solid novel that ties some events together between the different Star Wars eras. It doesn't do anything particulary spectacular but its still an enjoyable read for lovers of the Star Wars Expanded Universe.

No el mejo no el peor
Tristemente me aburrió la historia y la forma de escribir del escritoro, solo recomendado si eres de los que quieren leer absolutamente todo el lore de Starwars

Shadows of Midor
Interesting read, explores Luke growing as Jedi & actions that could cause him to leave the New Republic Military. Great fight scenes & interesting villain.

I really enjoyed it. Great book!
Luke Skywalker & the Shadows of Mindor is another enjoyable Star Wars book. This book takes places after Return of the Jedi and the Truce at Bakura. We get to see all of our original Heroes - minus Yoda and Obi-wan - such as Luke, Han, Leia, Wedge, Lando, Chewbacca, R2-D2 and C-3PO. We also are introduced to a new hero named Nick, However he is originally seen as a villain but that was only due to this brainwashing technology. Luke Helps save him and it snaps Nick back into reality. We are also introduced to a Mandalorean that wears simialar armor to Boba Fett. There is a funny subplot that deals with Holothrillers, which are bascially tv shows that are in hologram forms. Apparently Han Solo has sold the rights to his life as well as Luke's in exchange for a lot of credits. The authors of the Holothrillers then recreate the lives of Luke and Han into very silly and rather incorrect stories. Luke gets very upset since they aren't 100% true. In one story they had Luke kill Vader in order to avenge the life of Emperor Palpatine who Vader killed inorder to take over his throne.. Which is imperial propaganda and that's not what happened. There is also a very fascinating subplot about the Force vs the Dark which isn't necessarily the Dark side. The Dark is some belief system - kinda similar to the Atheist idea - where there is no meaning to anything and that there is no such thing as the light side or the dark side of the Force. To this Dark idea there is no Force, only meaningless lives in a meaningless universe. So basically the Dark is similar to Atheism, The Dark Side of the Force is similar to Satanism and the Light Side of the Force is similar to a combination of Christianity/Buddhism. However Luke overcomes this scary idea of the Dark, he even gets tempted by it. Apparently the Dark is much worse than the Dark side of the Force since the Dark only wants to destroy. And the man who is perpetuating the idea of the Dark - his name is Cronal and has an alias called Blackhole.Overall it's a very fascinating and interesting read. I enjoyed it and if you are interested in reading all the books that take place after Return of the Jedi this is one to read.
