Worked perfect on my Men’s Schwinn Chute Mountain Bike!
I have a men’s Schwinn Chute Mountain Bike that desperately needed a pedal upgrade. I purchased this particular brand based upon the reviews and the that I wanted a metal-type pedal that would hold up to my kind of riding. When the pedals arrived, I was immediately impressed by the overall build quality, and modern design. When it came to removing the old pedals and installing the new ones, they didn’t come with instructions, so that’s on you to do your research. As for me, I think I looked at most “how to” videos out there, and basically pieced together my plan. I first used a 12mm socket to undo the nut that was positioned at the end of the pedal, that held the pedal onto the pedal post. I then used a15mm open-end box wrench to loosen and remove the pedal posts (this will require some muscles and leverage to complete). Remember, when loosening the pedal post from the LEFT side of the bike, be sure to turn the wrench clockwise (right), and when loosening the pedal post from the RIGHT side OF THE BIKE, be sure to turn the wrench counter-clockwise (left).Once both pedal posts were removed, I was happy to discover the threaded pedal post socket was in fact 9/16”. I then cleaned out the existing threads, and examined the area for any damage or debris. At this point, I retrieved the new pedals from the package, added some white lithium grease to the threads of my new pedal post, then inserted and tightened up the pedal posts again using the 15mm wrench.Be sure to install the pedal on their appropriately label side (L or R) of the bike, as the threads are pitched in different directions. Any attempt to put them in the wrong way may result in damage to the threads.Once everything was snug, we gave the bike w/ new pedals a test run, and immediately could tell the difference in quality and performance over the OEM pedals.I highly recommend this set of pedals!

Amazing Pedals!
These pedals are amazing! My hopes weren't too high because of the cheaper price but the reviews convinced me to try them out. I'm so happy that I did. I put them on my specialized pitch comp 1x. They're so lightweight and very durable. I did a 38 mile ride with them yesterday and had no issues at all. They grip so well onto my five ten freeriders! I highly recommend these pedals to all bikers looking for a cheap yet durable option to stock pedals.

Strong pedal!
I have these on my mountain and gravel bikes. So far these have been excellent, durable, and strong pedals. I've snapped crank arms and chains but these are still going strong. Haven't had any pins come loose or need replacing yet. They've been on my mountain bike for over 2 years, 4k + hard miles. Only downside is if you aren't paying attention and you move the bike they'll chew your shin up :)

Bonmixc Stands Behind These Pedals - Good Job!
*Updated Review*Kudos to Bonmixc for rapidly responding to my original review of their product! They expressed sincere concern that the pedals did not meet their own production quality standards and have made a genuine effort to remedy the issue expressed below. I am currently using a later manufactured version of the same pedal, and everything seems fine to date. These pedals offer outstanding grip to softer sole shoes, relatively light-weight and the core axle shaft seems strong (I am a big guy so that is important!) If we can pedal along a for a few more months without losing pins (and finding the pin hole threads are stripped) I'll be a happy biker. I am confident that Bonmixc truly stands behind these pedals and have made changes to ensure that they perform up to par for most bike riders. A good value for nice, studded pedals!*Earlier Review* (Formerly a 3 star rating)"Losing Pins / Pedal Pin Threads Stripped"As much as I really want to like these pedals - I have lost 3-4 pins on one side of both pedals within a couple hundred miles of paved street, adult commuter riding (no off-road or gravel trails at all.) The manufacturer graciously provides a few replacement pins in the shipping box . . . It was when I attempted to use the replacement pins that I realized the threaded pin holes on the pedals are stripped (no threads available to screw in or hold the pins.) I attempted to check/tighten the remaining pins and found a couple more that are apparently stripped as well (the pins just spin without tightening) so I figure they will fall out soon too. The shoe grip when they are new is incredible, just wish the build quality was as good as the overall design.

Great pedals for a great price
I own a new 2017 XXL Specialized Camber FSR 29er mountain bike. The basic pedal that come with the bike are the standard hardened plastic black pedals with a few little ridges for added traction. I replaced those pedals with the Bonmixc pedals because they are a little bigger (I have a size 14 shoe), and because the grip is significantly better! With the original pedals it was easy to slide your feet across the pedals into a better position while riding. On the Bonmixc pedals you have to physically raise your foot slightly to reposition your feet. The traction screws are metal alloy and stick up an eight of an inch. It does take time to become proficient doing this while riding uphill. In general you need to get in position before the hill gets too steep or it will be very difficult to shift your feet around. Its almost like having clip-on pedals. The pedals also look great and have a fancy gold colored screw on the outside-center of the pedal that provides a nice accent color. For the price these pedals are great. Paying an extra $100 to save one-third of an ounce is foolish. The slight weight saving will not make you ride faster, it just means you have less money in your pocket...
