The Vivarium Electronics VE-100 Thermostat is our recommendation for an economical, yet effective and reliable control of heating your snake’s habitat. The VE-100 can handle up to 700 watts and operates as an on/off style thermostat. When the set temperature is exceeded and detected by the probe, the unit turns “off”. Once the temperature drops a selected amount, the unit will turn your heating device back “on”. While this unit is safe, effective and reliable, we also offer and recommend the VE-300 which can also handle up to 700 watts and is able to operate as an on/off style thermostat OR as a proportional style thermostat; plus a few extra features. Both of these thermostats work great with our Reptile Basics Radiant Heat Panels for snake habitats.

Works as described and easy to use
Works as described and easy to use. I have since bought another so I have 2 of this model and both of them work flawlessly. Ive never seen either of mine drop below 2 degrees F of the set temp. Have used both over a year now. Great product. Would buy again if needed.

So far they've been great! I have one running an incubator and the other running my snake rack. I just installed heat tape on my rack and done away with heat mats so now i will see what this device can really do. It holds the temps perfectly on my incubator so I'm sure it's goin to do great with muy snakes.

This is a replacement for me. I burned up my last one by plugging in something with too much wattage. Was my fault. Easy to program and keeps my snakes cage warm on the warm side.

Very helpful in creating a safe gradient temperature in my snakes tank.
