Excellent and beautiful M&P, it didnt work as expected, but thats because i failed to do my research for the proper material. MARBLE is excellent for herbs and other soft items, but you will spend extra time if you ttempt to grind peppercorn, rice, or other hard items in this. For those applications, look for a GRANITE M&P.

Works
I'm not sure it works any better or worse than any other mortar and pestle, but for my purposes it works great. Nice weight to it and I like the color both inside and out.

Absolutely love. Needed something to break up large pieces of prescription dry dog food for my Yorkie to combine with wet food, and this makes the job so much easier. Really heavy and quickly gets the job done.
