I am a distance runner and I find that this product does work pretty well. I've had my best results with it when I drink it an hour before the "real work" starts. So say if practice is at 6:30 and you know the warm up is about 30 minutes, drink it at 6. I did feel an extra edge when using it this way.I also like using this before shorter distance races (5k-10k) in the same fashion. If you want to use it for a half, I would recommend drinking near the start of the race if you want a little extra boost midway. I tried it this way in a training running and had no stomach or GI issues with the product. I personally do not use it for half marathons and above, I prefer black tea before hand. But that is just a preference. I would not recommend this during a race however because of the delayed effects. This is not the best way to use the product.Most importantly, I don't get any jitters with it and it is probably one of the best tasting pre workouts out there.

This product is good if you have to perhaps engage in challenging physical activity for about an hour or so. I purchased it to get some extra energy for a half marathon. The 'boost' was not enough to carry me through. If you want some extra energy for a long period, this is not the product. The taste is good and it mixes well in water.

Accelerade is way more effective. I don't feel any energy burst from this area all. I'm 6'3", 203, and need a pre-run drink that will help me around mile three or four. And unfortunately this isn't it.
