Plackers Orthopick Flosser for Braces, 144 counts (3 Sample Pack,48 Units)

These are GREAT for braces! The only way to get yourself or kid to floss regularly, which is a tedious thing to do with braces! I have been seeing more Walmarts carrying this product.

Lifesavers! These work great to remove food from in between your teeth and in between your teeth and your braces.

While the narrow piece of plastic fits between the teeth and the braces, there is no room for moving the flosser back and forth to get it to slip between the teeth. Is not an effective product.Will have to wait to use these until the braces come off.

The part that is supposed to fit between the tooth and a bracket is too thick and does not fit. I can them use to floss some spaces (only back teeth) because they do not fit anywhere else. Next time I will try some other brand to see if the design is better.

My son just got braces. Local drugstore charged $6 for 30 of a similar brand, "Platypus" (20 cents each): Platypus Ortho Flosser for Braces,30Count/pack. The "Plackers" shown here are the lowest price on Amazon (at $11.29 for 144, less than 8 cents each; update: well they used to be the best value, now, June 18, 2014 I see they cost $23, yikes! over a 100% price increase). If you compare costs, make sure you are buying floss picks for braces, it has one edge of the stick very thin so you can get under the braces: (for instance, another Placker's for braces on Amazon currently costs $18 for 6x24=144 total picks: Plackers Orthopick Flosser for Braces, 6pk). Seems outrageous that the floss sticks for braces cost much more than regular floss sticks, but what can you do? My son said he saw no difference in quality between Plackers and Platypus in terms of fraying, both good and held up well. These came in a dispenser box with 48 packages of 3. Not sure why this is cheaper than bulk (again, may no longer be so cheap), perhaps originally intended for orthodontists? Could do without the wasted packing but good value and arrived quickly.

My teenager insists on using these flossers ONLY for cleaning between his braces. I was so glad to find this bulk package for daily use. They work great and were easy to get used to.
