Smooth, Sweet, Path to a Second Chance
Andrew Grey can take a somewhat skeptical situation--even similar to other books by other authors--switch the venue eventually to central Pennsylvania, and from there the road to romance is smoother than most other novelists can achieve. In this one, mega movie star Justin Hawthorne (blond on the cover), reluctantly returns to his small hometown in Pennsylvania where his father is dying--a father who threw him out at age 19 with a backpack of clothes, a few bucks in his pocket and a beat up car simply for coming out.Common jumping off point, eh? Except that Justin hates his father so much that it takes a monumental effort by his best friend and manager Ethan to convince him to return. When he does his whole life explodes when he discovers that his father's nurse is George, the boy he left behind seven years before with no good-byes when Justin fled west. From there we are treated to a series of moving incidents and scenes that Grey weaves wherein Justin and his Georgie come together again despite the fact that they know they are not going to be able to be together, ever. Justin's life is in Hollywood, where he is openly gay but not into relationships because of his guilt-ridden but still genuine love for Georgie. And Georgie can't leave his home because he takes care of his mother--and her life, and his, are tied to the community.Really? This is Andrew Grey, remember, and his clever plotting and superior character development get us through a relaxing, and in one climactic case, somewhat traumatic, tale of second-chance love. You'll smile even through the nasty bits, and then you will have a grin on your face at the end.

The love story of two men who should always be together !
The story of two men who should never have to live apart ! Justin, blonde, handsome and rich, is now a movie star. He had to leave home when his folks threw him out for being gay. He made his way to Hollywood and worked his way up to be on top of the world. His first love, George is now a Home Health Nurse, and he's the one Justin left behind. Blue-eyed, dark haired George has never been forgotten.Therein lies the big question; why did Justin leave and stay gone, when George and his family would have taken him in? Why.After seven years, Justin has come home for his Dad's deathbed, and funeral. During this trip, he also finds out his Dad never told him his Mom died a few years ago; double whammy. George and his Mom take Justin and his personal assistant to their home. It's a tough week, and during this time there are some long talks, reconciling, and George and Justin know they have not stopped loving each other. It could never work with each being on opposite coasts, plus George can't abandon his Mom.This whole cast of characters is wonderful. I loved Ethan, the personal assistant, and George and his Mom were terrific. I just wanted to reach out and hug sweet but tough Justin. Andrew Grey's writing is amazing and the flow is perfect. Young Justin's reasoning for leaving seemed sound at the time, but in retro-spect there was help, but the youthful mind was traumatized and threatened, where he thought the powerful would win, and he wouldn't be able to protect George. Explosive, fierce, tender and loving, are their sexy times, and with the deep people and the intriguing tale, our attention is held fast.Highly recommended ! ENJOY !=========================Spoiler: I was disappointed the police were not involved.=========================

GREY is always outstanding. Fabulous author!
Andrew Grey has been a favorite of mine for many years. Always an entertaining story. Love the male/male genre. Good men doing their best to be kind and committed people. Our heroes are a sweet male nurse, George, who heals and helps people get back on their feet. And a hot film actor making his mark in movies. Justin has a very good friend, Adam, who keeps him moving forward. And they seem to put a lot time and effort into Justin's career. There are a few set backs as is always the case. Real life and fiction are generally going to have a few obstacles over time. A very good read.

Two guys, lovable and hugable. An assistant who should be cloned.
This is another Andrew Grey book, what else needs be said? A story of heartbreak of abandonment without a goodbye. Justin returns to his home town for his father's funeral, and of course meets the love of his life whom he left without a goodbye so many years ago. He has survived so well all this time due to his assistant Ethan, who does everything except feed him. A really good read getting to know both Justin and Ethan.George, Justin's one love, captures our hearts with his down to earth attitude, quietly doing the things expected of him and those he feels honor bound to take care of.We get a visit with them and their life, to include Ethan, after their home town meeting in "Never Let You Go." An enjoyable read also.

Didn't Work for Me
I have a hard time getting over dumb behavior and worse when what happened is hidden for most of the book and then revealed and then it was just really stupid kid thinking. I hate lack of communication and I ultimately couldn't believe in this love story because the action didn't feel right to the character.George is wonderful and Justin is very closed off. I have no idea why George loves him. This is never good.I stuck it out until the end but even the the HEA is sweet I just couldn't settle into the pacing and though the conflict was misplaced in the book.

You Can't Live Without This Book
Fan-Flippin-TASTIC!This story was INCREDIBLY WELL WRITTEN.I really enjoyed that this wasn't an "am-I-gay-coming-of-age" story, rather it was simply a romance (quite sexy at times) with fantastically well developed characters who happened to be gay.The depth of the story as well as characters, and believable dialogue made this story a book I'm telling everyone about. The author, was new to me (met him at an author signing) is one of my new favorites and I can't wait to read from his extensive collection of books.

A riveting read
I love Andrew Grey's books and they rarely disappoint, I am happy to say this one certainly did not. The story built slowly, but never so slowly that you were bored. The buried secret was temptingly mentioned but the build up was never overly sensationalised. As always Andrew was the master story teller and contrived a brilliant tale that I had to stay up and finish despite the late hour.

TAKE TWO
Another good tale from a reliable author. There is enough story to keep you turning the pages and some steamy romance. Keep them comming.
