Had to try
My hubby couldn't wait to try it out when we got it. He filled it with fishing line took it out back to try it out in out little lake. Let's just say he Intrigued the turtles. I'm sure it works great just need more practice.

Yo...YoYo .... Great gear
This YoYo is a keeper. It keeps cordage. It keeps fishing line. And if you use a YoYo for fishing, it'll keep whatever you hook in play. I got the reflective chartreuse. It's a campsite essential for guy lines, but snippets ae great for marking nighttime trails and paths. Great price, too.

Good size even for big hands
Easily fit 500ft of heavy kite string. I fly in high wind areas and the reel is comfortable even with a good load on it. Sturdy enough not to crush when winding under pressure.

Fun reel to play with.
A nice reel for the price. I sanded the edge to remove rough spots so it would cast more smoothly and drilled a couple of small holes to tie the line the reel. Tried it out with 65 lb test and a gulf rig. It worked great off a pier.

Solid Yo yo
I specifically bought this yoyo handline for catching small sharks for a biological study. The handline has held up well. It sits comfortably in my hand casting is good and it stands up to lots of use. The only complaint I have with it is there are burrs in the plastic in some places that caught my mainline when casting. Not a huge issue I sanded it down a bit and it works well. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone trying to get into handlining. I work with many fisheries biologist and I've recommended it to them and they enjoy using it. I think I started a new handline trend.

Use it for holding paracord for a kayak anchor
I holds just over 100' of 550 paracord. I had been looking for something to help with line control for the paracord attached to a small anchor for my kayak and this ended up being perfect. I drilled a hold through the bottom to slide a few feet of cord through and made a single knot so it wouldn't pull out. The end of the paracord is attached to the kayak and the rest of the cord wraps around the reel and attaches to the anchor. Perfect size for this and easy to hand reel the cord back in and store it when needed.

ReliableProduct!
Having a fishing pole real break on me while out fishing without a backup initiated why I purchased one of these convenient reals to use. For the price, I was pleasantly surprised as to how sturdy and reliable this item was.

Does what it is supposed to
Technically, I won’t be using this for fishing. I pull fish up from over 100 feet down, and their air bladders expand. They have to be lowered to below 60 feet before they compress enough for the fish to swim. I have a release mechanism but it is a pain to remove the rig on my pole, attach the mechanism, hook the fish and lower it, and finally reattach my rig and start fishing again. I’ve set up the mechanism on this, which fits nicely under my kayak’s seat and can release one fish while lowering my line to catch a legal sized replacement. This is solid plastic, not flimsy. It cut easily so I could notch it to hold to rig. It’s survived several trips so far and functions just as I envisioned it.
