plastic
let me start by saying that im sure this was completely my fault.i was looking for somthing like this, there are MANY options available here on amazon. ones with 3, 5, 7, 9 inch, ones with 3- 3" and 3- 5", ect.... i had many of them open in tabs trying to decide what best fit my needs. i THOUGHT i had checked them to see that they were aluminum. ended up i decided that the 2-3", 2-5" and 2-7" (this product) package best fit my anticipated needs, so i bought this, but apparently overlooked the fact that THIS ONE was plastic.in summation, 1 star for plastic pic rails. junk. but i gave 4 stars because if you want plastic pic rails for some strange reason, these would probably fit the bill well. just dont be an idiot like me and make sure you read the whole descriptions before you commit to buy.

Good polymer rail
Great polymer rail for the money. The plastic isn’t to the same level as Magpul polymer rails, but these work fine for mounting lights or tape switches. I wouldn’t use them for VFGs, bipods, or any other application that imparts significant torsional stress as the rail would likely crack.

Had to be shaved to fit, otherwise they seem ok
As the review headline states, these had to be shaved somewhat to fit in the slots in my Black Rain Spec+ .300 BLK handguard. Otherwise, they work fine. The plastic seems good, no flex and is solid, and once I'd used a small dremel to shave them down a bit, they sit well enough and tightened down fine. I wouldn't use these on a firearm intended for serious use, but they do fine on my range toy; you get what you pay for.
