Butane Torch Lighter, Refillable Windproof Jet Flame, BBQ, Camp & Cooking

Very nice.

My wife is a closet pyromaniac, and this torch proved to be a perfect Christmas gift. She felt empowered setting the wood in the fireplace ablaze. She thrilled at the long flame that this throws out, and she brandished the torch as though it was a light saber. The torch looks nice, feels good in your hands, and does a good job of setting things on fire.

This Torch is used daily and I have had no problems with it. It is very heavy duty and very easy to use.

Very easy to over fill. When you do, the flame is sporadic and unpredictable. Could be dangerous if you dont know what you are doing.

Update: I was contacted quickly by the seller and they made it right by sending me a new lighter, which worked great. The replacement lighter filled easily with no leaks and performs as expected. Every company has a few bad items that make it to the customer, but not every company makes it right. KOLTEC made it right, and they are a standup company. This is a superb torch, and you can do a lot worse when choosing a full-size lighter. Use the adjustment carefully, as it is easy to overdo it. This lighter has some serious power. This lighter works great, when I can manage to partially refill it. The adapters that came with it form a sloppy fit, resulting in more butane venting out than going into the reservoir.

Nice compact torch. The black one looks great. Nice adjustable flame with good velocity at higher levels. Sometimes needs two taps of the switch for the flame to ignite but not too bad. A little messy when filing and would be nice if it had a fuel window but all in all a good compact torch.

Easy yo hold abd use

Can't fill this lighter without spewing and dripping butane. When I set the flame to "low", it works in the upright position, but the moment the flame is pointed downward, the flame shoots out to five or six inches.

Good sturdy lighter and decent adjustable jet flame. But filling the gas is not so good. The connectors don't fit a universal gas can and using the standard gas can connector without any additional ones (none fit this lighter) gas pours out.... so refill outside and waste a lot of gas in the process of refilling. Pity there is no way of knowing if the lighter is full of gas or not...

The product came 2-weeks earlier than anticipated. The flame is strong and visible at about 7inches. Be careful as it can still burn at 1ft away of the jet direction. The handle is made of plastic, which makes it lighter. It does feel slightly unbalanced with the weight heavier towards where the flame comes out (due to the heat material). Overall, a good quality product.
