Not child proof. I have a special needs son with ODD, celiac disease and a lot of allergies. I have to lock pantry, fridge an cabinet to prevent him from eating foods he’s allergic to. I finally saw how he has been getting in-even with the lock in place he can pull hard and yank out the cord. Awesome.

They work well. They were a bit difficult to figure out how to change the lock because it didn't come with instructions. You had to scan a QR code and watch a video, and I felt including instructions with it would have been better and saved me time as I tried to figure it out. Overall though they are working great, and I would buy them again. Keep my kids out of the medicine cabinet and the chemical cabinet and that's all I ask for!

I only review products that either deserve a 5 star review or those on the other extreme that don’t deserve a 1 star review and unfortunately this product falls into the latter category. After following installation instructions to the letter, it took no effort whatsoever to open the cabinet and watch the adhesive peel away from the body of the lock as if it wasn’t there. It took a long time to peel the adhesive from the cabinet but it barely stuck to both sides of the plastic parts of the lock itself. Don’t waist your time thinking this will work, especially if you want peace of mind for your kids
