Easy to install and works great.

This was to replace an existing one and big improvement. Diameter was larger so we had to re drill but this one is much clearer, larger and better looking.

My old peep hole was 20 years old... Brass had turned a blackish color, and the lens was cracked. After replacing all door knobs and hinges in the house this was the last thing to stick out. I figured only high dollar items would come with glass lenses and a nice build and finish. But I thought for $7 let's give it a shot. Really glad I did. The lens really is glass, the finish is perfect with no blemishes, and the build quality is a amazing. Don't know how they did it at such a low price point but wow. Don't hesitate to buy. You really will not find anything better, you'll just be wasting your money.

Looks and works fantastic, highly recommended.I’ve owned several peepholes in multiple homes and used a ton more in a lot of hotels. This is likely the clearest optics I’ve ever seen. Very easy to clearly see through it. Completely shocked from a generic Amazon brand.Instructions are brief and printed on the box. Calls for a 5/8” hole which fits but is very snug. You may need to widen slightly if your hole doesn’t get drilled perfectly straight, but it won’t show after install if you’re close.

What a huge upgrade to my almost 20 year old peephole. The clarity is magnificent. My old peephole was only 160 degrees so this was a huge upgrade. The hole in the door for my old peephole was to small for this new one so I went to the hardware store and picked up a 5/8" drill bit to make the hole larger. From time of drill to install was about 2 minutes. Super easy.

The quality of the lens is very good. It is optical glass. The 220degree angle allows seeing more around the door. So if there is a person crouched in front of your door, this viewer will let you see the person. It came with an unexpected bonus: a peephole privacy cover. This is something you get in a more expensive door viewer. It is easy to install. The finish is high polished "gold" colored. However, if you need to have a slightly darker tone to the finish, just paint the metal ring using a high-gloss acrylic paint in your choice of color (bronze, spun gold, etc.). Note: I incorrectly ordered a 16mm pipe diameter instead of a 14mm one. I do not want to drill a wider hole on my door so I ordered a new one and waiting for it in the mail. I will still keep this one as it is useful as a fisheye lens for my iPhone. It is very important to know that 2mm makes a big difference. Be sure to measure your current door viewer's pipe diameter before your place your order.
