A simple, clear and very effective system
I think this system is simple, clear and very effective. I absolutely love the layout of this little book. I saw all the bullet journal videos, some of the systems are so complicated. If I had time to do all that those systems requires and decorate the journal, that would mean I have nothing else to do - and I would not even need the bullet system to begin with! The system for this little book is explained in the front inside cover and you are off creating your own bullet journals!!!The issue I personally have (and I did not take any stars off because this is personal issue) is that the book is very small. At 3.5" x 5.5" it is a standard size for leather covers which is good if you want to mix & match your field notes/moleskine covers with this book. But for me, it is too small to do an effective calendar. This is strictly my to-do list - I have another planner for my A-Z filing cabinet (my life planner). But for those who bullet journal their calendars, this would be a stretch. Someone who is a Field Notes fan would not be bothered by this. Also the lines printed are VERY light, which many people like so that the ink in the lines doesn't compete with their writing, but I found the lines to be almost non-existent. Again, may be my eyes (which are not great) so I would not take any stars off for this.Pros: Simple system; good pricing; standard size; fantastic layoutCons: for me - small 3.5 x 5.5 size; VERY light linesFor the money I would still recommend trying it. For me personally, I hope in the future this company makes a larger companion version (some standard size like 8 x 5; 8 1/4 x 5 1/4; etc...)

Handy dandy notebook
I love the size of these notebooks - very easy to throw in a small bag or in your back pocket. The art on this particular bundle of notebooks is a nice array of blues and is aesthetically pleasing. The paper is smooth and the circle/dot system they have for each line is convenient and useful for lists/tasks. I use this has a reminder/planner and its simple and not overbearing like some designated planners. Word of Caution: Gel pens will smear if you do not give it ample time to dry, I just stick to a Zebra fine tip ballpoint pen.

Great For To-Do's or General Notes
I almost wanted to give this four stars just because they were not available in black right after I received my order. These little notebooks are great. Think Field Notes but each line is marked like a to-do list. Perfect for what I needed them for. I have a bunch of different types of Field Notes (both actual Field Notes and knockoffs) and this is perfect for carrying around to jot quick notes of things you want to do. I immediately started using one for a trip that we are planning to keep track of things I need to bring and things I want to make sure we do on the trip. They are perfect to keep in your pocket. Because of the size, they even fit perfectly in a Field Notes style leather case I have.I just hope they get some more in stock soon.

As far as design goes I love the simple logo and colors
Bought these notebooks to help me remember things. It has made quite a difference already in my ability to complete tasks simply because I write it down. I have tried using the suggested Word use guide and find it to be helpful in seeing at a glance where I stand on my to do list. As far as design goes I love the simple logo and colors. I am using a Parker Quink .7 Gel and will be able to use both sides of the page. If you are heavy handed there may be too much bleed through to use both sides.

Cute ruled notebooks
tl;dr: good, sturdy little notebooks but no sticker makes me sadThese little notebooks have a built in baby bullet journal thing going, are great for lists, and my daughter uses them exclusively for lists and to edit/head canon various fandoms. (We purchase a LOT of these 3x5 journals--I have them on Subscribe & Save.) Not going to lie: I would choose them over Field Notes (both brands are made in the US, although Word journals didn't have the dot grid/graph/blank options and I am a dot grid kind of gal) because they came with a cute "Word" vinyl sticker...but this last trio had no sticker! And I am apparently the type of individual who will take away a star for a sticker. God, I'm ashamed.

The Good Word
Word notebooks are simple, like most of the 3.5x5.5 note pad market, but the paper absorbs ink well, and doesn't seem prone to smear. The covers are tough enough to handle getting casually wet without tearing or discoloring, and they are made in the US. What I like best of all is the way Word formats their pages- unlike simple ruled/lined versus dot (graph) or blank pages, these have, as shown in their pics, a bar to the left margin that helps you track the notes you're making. Easily turn them into checks, bullets, etc. I dig it. It makes things just that much easier. And in a market that seems otherwise saturated with options, there are only so many things one can do to stand out, but I'd say Word has done it. My favs are Word, and Field Notes. Vinta and Field Book are behind those.

Ideal for builders of "to-do" lists
In the crowded market of 3.5 X 5.5 notebooks, Word Notebooks stand out. Yes, the covers are attractive, but for serious users, it's really the inside format that's distinctive and extremely useful. The faint lines and their accompanying icon indicating state of task completion is perfect if you use these for making "to-do" lists. I like the dot-grid pattern of FieldNotes and the quality of Moleskin, but if you are serious about making lists and keeping track of their completion status, Word Notebooks are the best product--very useful interior page design, attractive covers, and good quality paper.

Best task manager ever!
After years of trial and error, I finally found a simple and amazingly functional task manager with Word notebooks. There are small circles printed in the left margin of every line, and a simple use guide of how to mark the progress and completion of tasks. One glance at my list and I know the status of every task. Many thanks to Word for their awesome notebook!
