Strikingly beautiful, thin, and a great value.
This is a beautiful Bauhaus style watch, with a respected and proven ST-17 movement employed as a manual wind to create a very thin watch.Initial accuracy has been +13 sec/day while worn, which is within mechanical Swiss movement specs. Its face is a bit on the larger side but not too large, and the thinness gives it a feeling of being smaller. Products from Nomos and Stowa cost 4 to 10 times as much, so this is a great way to enjoy the styling of those watches in a much less expensive way. Those companies produce the watch a "regular" 36mm size and a 40mm size.In the light, the watch shows the very tiny concentric circle etching in the seconds subdial, which itself is slightly lowered relative to the rest of the face. The numerals are not in relief, so that keeps the appearance very clean. Note that the numeral font is slightly simpler than you will find on the Nomos and Stowa. Because of the white face and clean black numbering and marking, all hands are easy to see and read. The blueing treatment to the hands is subtle until it catches direct light, which really makes the color pop nicely.I had not worn a manual wind watch since childhood, so I have to remember to wind it each day. That can be an enjoyable ritual. While I have read that 20 winds will do the job, I have found that 40 or more is better to be sure it doesn't stop if you miss your daily winding time. Perhaps that is because my winding is probably a half-wind rather than a complete rotation. I do find the crown to be a bit small for easy winding on wrist, so I remove the watch to wind it. When it is off the wrist, the underside of the watch makes it easy to get traction with your fingers on the crown. The second hand does not stop when the crown is pulled, so you can't "synchronize" watches like the guys in the movies. There is no date display, which can be a plus if you don't wear the watch for awhile because you won't have to worry about setting it. But with this design, "less is more." So the smaller subdial seconds hand rather than a sweeping seconds hand, and the lack of a date function keeps to this theme. The leather band has a crocodile pattern stamped in it. While it is not high quality, it is better looking and appears more durable than I expected. Even has the Sea-Gull name engrave on the clasp. While I normally prefer brown straps, the black strap is very consistent with the look of the watch, and it could probably work with a variety of colors.I like the thinness, which is why I chose the manual wind movement. Watches labeled Rider and Rodina also use a similar movement made by Seagull that is an autowind movement. Those watches are thicker because of the autowind module included in the movement. All in all, this is a very classy and classic looking watch with both retro and modern happening at the same time.I hope this description has been helpful.

Simple and slim
Simple, clean design. The blue hands are a perfect match with blue jacket/suit/ shirt. Simple hand wind without day and date. Very slim .

VERY nice looking, but...
I was disappointed to discover the movement is non-hacking. Other than that, the watch seems to run exceedingly well, and looks super.
