Man, I have tried several types of hoops and frames for punch needle embroidery. These just work the best hands down. So unless you want a large wood frame and if you want to easily take your project with you when you go someplace, invest in a few Morgan hoops. I've got them now from 5" through 17" and they all work great and all make doing punch needle as well as any other kind of embroidery easier to do and more fun in the process. A good hoop is a definite must have.

I love this hoop. Took a little getting used to but then it holds everything nice and stays in place. Love it!

Best hoops that are plastic. Spend the money!

Stabilizes the fabric in the hoop well without movement. Made well and works well.

Great hoop, it truly does not slip...perfect size for small projects
