Great content. Poorly constructed.
Beautifully printed with lots of wonderful fonts. I’ve used it many times as reference and it has fallen apart. I wish I could have it re-bound or that they would print a better version.

Excellent book, but the cover fell off after 5 minutes!
Not going to slam the author for a second hand book about the faulty cover. I'm a creative and glued it back on. It's an excellent resource!

Great book, worst binding quality
Awesome content, Louise and Steven have made a fantastic collection of books including this one. The BIG BUT, the quality of the binding, awful awful awful work by IMAGO from China. And here I'm realizing my book is not the only one with the problem.

Falls Apart
Falls apart first time opening it. Completely detached from cover and glue falls off binding.Despite the book now being coverless after viewing one time...Its a wonderful reference book. Love it. Glad I have it, wish it was put together better.

It's a wonderful book that I'm proud to own
It's a wonderful book that I'm proud to own, though I'm very disappointed by the construction of the paperback version. The cover completely came off my first time flipping through - exchanged it for a new copy to have the same problems again.

Five stars for content, zero stars for book binding
Like other reviewers, my copy started to come apart as soon as I started to look through it. To be honest, I think the number of pages and the thickness of the paper really required a hardbound book, it's really too heavy as a paperback. I was thinking of junking the book as the cover had come off and signatures were almost broken, but I used some of that thick glue used to stick paper and cardboard and it seems to have worked so far.The contents, as expected, are quite fascinating. The chunky serif types from five countries are revealed: America; Italian; French; Dutch; British; German. Pages and pages of type specimen books from each country's type founders mixed in with lots of examples of the type in commercial use.As the binding is useless I would try and find the cheapest copy you can on the net.

Content was excellent but let down by very poor binding
The book's content is excellent but the binding is very poor. It's quite a thick book. The cover fell off completely in an hour or so of looking through and I can see that the pages are coming unstuck already. It's going to be in bits in a very short time which is a great shame. I should return it but I need it for reference. The publishers should be ashamed.
