Good Read!
I loved this book. A true love story between two slaves and what they had to overcome to be free. It's sad that this is the history of this country. I often wonder who decided that it was okay to enslave the Black race, hold them as chattel, and treat them no better than they treated their livestock. Being Black it was maddening to read how these people were treated, but it was well written.

A Real Love Story set in Slavery but the real love story was about being Free!
Loved this story about survival for the goal of being Free. Gave a wonderful perspective of life of slaves that run for their freedom.

Novella
This $10.99 book is a novella to a story fully included in Gretchen Craig's plantation series! I wasted over $11.00 for a book I'd already read and there is no indication on this book that it is a novella! I want to return the book and will not be purchasing anything written by Gretchen Craig again because she is shady!

you won't be dissapointed
in the beginning, I thought it was just a little bit slow. But by the middle, I could not put it down. I really did love it.
