Got these to hang up some pictures at work. They are easy to install and very sturdy and secure.

Solution Works Very Well
I have been looking for a solution to hang a heavy Ikea mirror ( 35 ibs ) in my foyer. I did not want to re-hang with plastic anchors for screws as I was afraid it would pull out over time. This is the first time I used French cleats and it worked very well. The locking mechanism at the bottom added to the stability, and I can safely say the mirror is in no danger of being dislodged. I have attached a picture I took to check that the cleats where properly seated that would give you an idea.I did screw in some wood strapping to the back of the frame where the cleat is mounted and to the bottom for the anchor to distributed the weight. This is a great solution for any heavy picture or mirror.
